"Start Mode" for entry level/beginner vapers.
It looks at the resistance and sets a starting wattage within a range.

I didn't play with it enough to get a sense of its' worth but it seems to start pretty low.
It holds the 10 most recent different attys in memory (first in/first out) but doesn't appear to identify them in any easy or meaningful way.

The 3rd party editor (NFirmware ? ) lets you toggle it on or off so you don't have to scroll through it. I just ignore it.

That's new to me. Have a VTC but it's like, my fourth mod in the pecking order... so, firmware updates aren't exactly my first priority.

Slightly off topic - I think the idea has its heart in the right place but... I think people gotta learn a little about electrics to vape safely... Having the machine do the thinking for you... meh...

What is does is store a the power setting for each no-tc atyyu you attach based on the resistance of the attached mod.

So when in start mode, example with 3 attys : A: .2ohm, B: 3ohm, C: .5ohm

Attach each atty in start mode, when the atty is attached, adjust the wattage of each:

Attys
A : 75 watts
B: 40 watts
C: 20 watts

Assuming each was PREVIOUSLY attached, and adjusted:

So, assume atty a is is attached, the wattage is 75watts, you remove it, and attach atty C. The wattage will auto-magically change to 20watts, remove atty C, attach atty B, wattage changes to 40watts....Two BIGGEST issues I have with this mode...

1. Doesn't display initial wattage, just the graph...so no idea of the initial wattage without bumping wattage up/down..
2. Display shows pretty much zero useful information... doesn't show resistance, power, etc... Intended for beginners, with idea that less is more I guess....

Sort of, but not quite. Once you attach an atty, and adjust the wattle it stores the wattage setting associated with the resistance of the atty. I have NO idea what the resistance is when you initially install an atty..... My other post explains the process....
