Was wondering if this is normal for the eGo One tank that comes with it?

Both Ni and Ti coils produce very little vapor but amazing flavor.
Jumps straight to TP when set above 20w (500f on Ti and 600f on Ni) and you have to draw for upwards of 10 seconds to get a large ammount of vapor, and its still nothing like a 1-2 second drag off of my Goblin Mini @32w in power mode.

Common? Am I not using the TC on this mod right?

Thanks,
BLT

The CL coil heads that come with the tank are pretty awful, but I suspect that you're also probably using very high VG juice. If you get the CLR coil heads they will wick much much better, even if you're using 70-80VG juice. I use two eGo One tanks every day and they are rock solid, but only with the CLR heads. I never have TC or wicking issues like you describe with the eGo One using the better heads. I recommend either the titanium or the normal .5 ohm CLRs. If you like to build coils you can keep the CL heads that came with tank for spare parts as the CLR heads are rebuildable. This tank will never rival the Goblin Mini, but I prefer them over a Kanger Subtank.

So Ive tried a 60/40 Vg/Pg and it hasnt made much difference.

One thing to note, I have never been asked if its a new coil head. It just shows the correct oHms with a lock next to it.
If I scroll through the menu I can lock and unlock it, but it never prompts me about a new coil.

It runs Ni great on a dripper, just not in the CL coils. I have some CLRs on the way Ill give a try with Ni builds, other than that Ill just use my Goblin Mini (which I have never found an equal for) with SS.

The VTC will not ask you if you're using a new coil if the ohms are locked. The mod will usually work perfectly fine if you leave it locked, it just bypasses the "new coil" screen. Some people leave it locked and others never lock the ohms at all.

Again, I think the CL heads are awful. They don't wick properly because the juice holes are too small. I do save the gold plated bottom pins and insulators from the Ni & Ti CL heads to have spares for the CLRs or to replace the positive pins on the 1 ohm CLRs (to increase the airflow). The 1 ohm heads have tiny air holes in the bottom pin. If you ordered the 1 ohm CLR heads and want more airflow you can easily remove the steel pin from the head and replace it with a gold plated pin. I use 70-80VG juice constantly in the eGo One with no wicking issues, but I never use the CLs.

It's also important that you set the resistance when the head is cold, room temperature.
That's when you hit new coil.
Then lock your resistance.
.
.
And maybe.

This actually worked. Performing flawlessly now.

Thanks SV and Coralline!
