Vuse Alto Burnt Pods?

I recently bought a Vuse Alto, and i really like, but im having a big problem with burnt pods. The starter kit came with one pod, and i bought 3 packs of replacements and so far out of 7 pods, 6 of them burnt and are basically unusable because the burnt taste is so strong, and each one that burnt is way more than half full. I literally just put in a brand new pod about 20 mins ago, and i hit it maybe 5-6 times and its already burned, and ever since the 2nd pod burnt on me, i have been very careful to not take big hits, and to wait like a little bit between hits, and it still happening.. idek i really like the alto but this is crazy, and i tried covering the hole and trying to suck juice thru like it says on youtube to fix the burnt pods, but that really dosent work, it covers up the burnt taste a little, but its still tastes terrible and is real harsh.

So i was just wondering if anyone had the same problem and maybe had a solution to this or even knew why its happening (i mean i kno the coil is burning, but idk why, like if its a bad power unit or somthin)?.. I called vuse and they offered me a coupon for a bogo on my next pod purchase, which was kinda unhelpful, bc i dont want to buy more pods, if there all just going to burn..

thanx

most im afraid do burn easy you may find original tobacco last longer but being salt nic and high MG you may be better to switch to a refillable pod system

Yea i think i might have to switch, honestly, i kinda want something with less nic in it anyway, sometimes it almost gives me a headache. u have any suggestions on any devices that are small like this, and hit good that are refillable? i have a smok gpriv i got a few months ago and it just wasn't for me, was too big, and between the coils and everything, and i couldnt use it at work. but this alto, was mint for me, nice, small and discreet and hits awesome, too bad the pods suck.. but yea if you have any suggestions on any good devices like that, id really appreciate it.

thanks for the reply

well the vendor is your choice but for ease i will link to one place with tons of choices that i have used or tried some with salt nic 25 and DIY lower and some with non salt nic.
* notes after link

https://www.elementvape.com/smok-nord-ultra-portable-pod-kit (both) depending on coil
https://www.elementvape.com/smok-infinix-ultra-portable-kit (best with* but can use a 50/50 DiY) have been told you can rewick the pods at least once

(salt nic best) have not used much

https://www.elementvape.com/eleaf-icare-2-ultra-portable-system
https://www.elementvape.com/joyetech-ego-aio-mansion-starter-kit
https://www.elementvape.com/joyetech-atopack-magic-pod-system
https://www.elementvape.com/aspire-breeze-2-aio-pod-kit

since you dont like big mods these are you best bets IMHO

I bought my wife a Smok Novo a little over a week ago and so far she seems to like it. Haven't had it long enough to speak on the longevity of the pods, have only refilled a couple of time but so far so good.

This is pretty common problem with Alto pods. I'm not sure if they have addressed the problem but I haven't had an issue with it lately, but admittedly I don't buy them much anymore as my Alto is basically just a back up device for me.

Months back it seemed more frequent, but lately it seems like only occasionally I'll get a burnt pod when it's nearly empty. I believe Vuse used to remedy this with free pods but now customer service is just offering BOGO coupons, which isn't ideal.

It's a shame because I actually like the device. Compared to Juul the battery is larger, pods are as well and the draw is totally silent, no crackling at all. Much more vapor and a satisfying hit, too. Magnetic pods and charger is a good touch as well.

The biggest drawback is the quality of the pods and lack of flavors. Out of the 4 available flavors I only really like original and mixed berry. Even as a former menthol smoker I didn't like their menthol pods and their Rich Tobacco flavor wasn't great either. Not sure why they insisted on only 4 flavors with 2 of them being tobacco.

Although my local gas station has had them on sale lately so 2 pods for $10 is probably about the best deal out there for prefilled pods like these. I get 2 to 3 days from a pod, so it's not bad. They are a pain to refill though, Juul is way easier in that regard.

Anyway, burnt pods will likely happen with Alto but I vape original most of the time and usually it only happens when it's almost empty. If the pods and flavors improved I'd would be much better than something like Juul.

All in all, most people disenchanted with Alto, Juul would be better served with a simple device like the Renova Zero...simple, refillable and pods last forever.
