wanting to upgrade

First poster here.
I am thinking on upgrading my mod. Well, I want to get a new mod and subtank too. I currently have the iStick 100w (the old kind with the triangle up/down buttons) with a subtank mini. I always use the .5 coil at about 26w. I tried the RDA and RTA scene and would rather just stick to buying coils. So, I am looking for something about the same size and that will give me the same battery life. With how I vape, I can get 2-3 days out of one charge. I see everyone is praising the reuleaux rx200 but I dont think I will ever need that much power. Plus, I know nothing about batteries, so going from not having to deal with batteries to dealing with 3 is a bit of a leap. I am really considering the Vapereso target kit, but only Tia has done a follow up review on it and I dont know if 75w is a downgrade for me or not and I still have to worry about a battery.

So basically, what would you all recommend if I wanted a good mod with good battery life and about the size of the iStick 100w and can handle a newer tank with options for temp control or the ceramic coils? And if I do get something like the Target kit (or any mod that takes a replaceable battery), can you leave the battery in the mod to charge and is that safe?

I pondered this recently also, and all the new stuff constantly hitting the market being mind numbing, I went in on a Joyetech Cuboid. It's small, inexpensive, takes 2 18650, 150W (upgradable to 200W, if you wish) and handles Ti/Ni/SS coils. That sets me to be able to fire most new coils becoming available now.

Most mods nowadays lets you charge via its included usb cable (although not the adapter head, maybe so they can sell all over the world). But I still would advise you, or anyone for that matter, to charge your batteries with external charger. It's safer and makes your batts and mods last longer.

Sigelei Fuchai 200W or Reuleaux RX200 200W are both around $45, I'm considering one or both myself. Fuchai doesn't do SS in temp control I think. Advantage to these is you have a ton of power if you eventually want it, and with the RX200 having three 18650s you should get a crapload of battery life with your setup. My first non-pen-style box was an iStick 30W. It was great until I got a Sigelei 150 and realized what I could do with a lot more power to play with.

Right now I use the Sigelei 150W TC, I get about two days using a 0.25 coil at 80W in normal mode. Downside - only does Ni coils for temp control, and seems to be more expensive than the Fuchai or RX200.

I'd get something with removeable batteries for one reason - dead (i.e. won't hold a charge great anymore) batteries can be replaced, but if a mod with an integrated battery like the iStick goes dead you gotta replace the entire thing.

Tank? Uwell Crown. They've got 0.25 and 0.5 coils, and 0.15 nickel coils for temp control. I use the 0.25s daily and get at least a month out of each. For an all-day, every-day vape, this thing is pretty damn awesome.

I will look more into this one. What kind of batteries should I use? There are so many different 18650's out there, I dont know where to start. And do you charge it through the mod? If I do get this and the Vaperesso kit as well (it looks awesome and the ceramic coils really have my interest peaked), can I get 3 of the same batteries, 2 for the Cuboid and 1 for the Target?

So just because you have a mod that will deliver 200w or close to 200w doesn't mean you have to use it at 200w does it? I own both the Fuchai and the RX200. I like the RX200 better and use it a bit more. I currently (as in right this minute) have a TFV4 mini on my RX with triple coils and am running it at 100w. This is as high wattage wise as I personally have vaped and I'm honestly liking the flavor and vapor. Now I've tried 120w up to about 145w and the vapor (to me anyway) is just too hot and extreme to enjoy. I may never go above 100w but at least I have a mod that I could try. Right?

Your right on the money. No matter what your VW mod is capable of you have full control over your watts. You can set it at 10 watts if you don't mind reading the front page of the newspaper before you get a full hit.

I only charge self contained battery mods via usb. I always charge in a battery charger, since everything I've used the past 6yrs required a 18650, and also have a plethora of flashlights using the same. I use Samsung 25r's and some Efests, but always 25A+ dischargers. You can do the 3 battery scenario, but marry the 2 batteries you use for the Cuboid, for balanced discharge rate and equal amount of use cycles. I'm a prepper, so I have backups for backups.

Basically you have to ask yourself what would meet your needs best. There are great mods that offer the convenience of an internal battery. I just purchased a Tesla 100W Nano TC that has an internal sub charged 4500mAh battery that literally last for days on a single charge. The downside is that batteries won't last forever and once an internal battery fails, the mod is useless. On the flip side purchasing a mod with externally charged batteries such as the rx200 takes an additional investment. I would really recommend purchasing a quality charger that charges your batteries safely and effectively. I would also recommend buying a back up set of batteries, pairing them together so they discharge equally. You'll want to vape while your batteries charge so a backup is a good investment.
Hope this helps

Welp, I just broke down and bought the Target kit. I think it looks awesome, and I cant wait to see how my favorite Jvapes liquids taste in it. I will let you know what I think of it after a week or so of vaping on it. If the Target kit doesn't actually live up to everything that I am hoping, I will probably pick up a herakles and cuboid. I just cant do the RX 200 cause it is so bigger than what I am used to. And as far as the tank, a local vape shop dealer made a good point about the Herakles being able to use different manufactures coils where as the Crown can only use Uwell coils.

Thanks everyone for your input

I hope it scratches that itch.
That kit looks like it has a stun setting.lol.

It's been 4 days now using the Target mod and tank and I love it. A lot of people say that it is amazing flavor, and with my J-vapes chameleon juice, that is very true. The flavor is great. I have heard people say that the vapor feels week in regards to throat hit, and I have to say that is not the case in my experience. I vape this at 25W and I get great vapor and a good throat hit. I so far only have 2 complaints, but they are minor at best. When I go to vape this, there are maybe 5 draws that I get a gurgle, no spit back, just a gurgle. After 5 draws and a few primed hits, it clears up. And my only other con is that this driks a fair amount of juice. A tank lasts about half as long compared to my Kanger Sub Tank. But all in all, this kit is everything I hoped it would be. I highly recommend it.
