Really, The finish and coloring reminds me of some device that would be found in an old space craft full of dead aliens or something in a scifi book. I like it even better now.

The paint was getting so bad that I pushed most of it off with my thumb nail. The rest was removed with a plastic butter knife. At least there are no more awful chips in the paint.
That doesn't bode too well for the paint job of the Alien lol. It looks nice naked though
Saying that, I have had mine a while now, no problems with the paint. Mine is running the 'B' revision, so I wonder if they did change the paint job too as some people have said?

My husband carries the first alien he bought for me. The one with the blue trim. He has dropped it several times and it looks so much better than mine did. lol I babied my black one and never dropped it and the paint got all rough and flaked off like crazy. Go figure...

I was considering having my neighbor do it or borrowing a tool from him. He is a retired auto body guy. But it came off so easily. I was worried about vaping paint chips and it took me less than a half hour to just scrape and push it off. I still might polish or brush it but I don't think I want it too shiny. I like the more dull finish for some reason.

I have a naked Provari, but it's stored away in a box of stuff I really don't use. At least I might have something to use if all of my stuff broke.
I like it dirty. I am not going to shine and finish it to look clean for that reason. I want it to look "antique scifi" if that makes any sense. Lol
