I just built my first coil in my cubis RBA it is reading at 1.30 ohms I used 26 gauge wire I think 7 or 8 wraps. I am getting a great vape at 40 watts/7.21 volts. Is this ok or am I running it to high?

If you are getting a good result it's fine. Not hurting anything running it that way but you would probably like it even more if you used thicker wire that had less resistance.

If you like the vape, you're doing it right. If you were running it too high you would be getting dry or burnt hits and you would know it.

You can certainly experiment with other builds optimized for either higher or lower watts, but in the end that's up to you.

Vape on :)

I'm surprised you're getting a great vape at that, especially with the Cubis! I found that tank didn't like me going over 30w with 0.5ohm coils. But, as others said, if it tastes good to you, then it's not wrong ;)

Shave a few wraps and a few digits after the decimal and you'll get better results.
