Ellen Albertini Dow, who is likely best remembered for her rendition of "Rapper's Delight" in the 1998 comedy The Wedding Singer, died yesterday. She was 101.

Born November 16, 1913, in Pennsylvania, Albertini Dow began studying dance and piano at age five, eventually relocating to New York City to pursue acting. She also toured the Borscht Belt with a comedy act and worked with mimes Marcel Marceau and Jacque LeCog in Paris before moving to teach drama at Los Angeles City College and later Pierce College, where her husband Eugene Dow started the theater department.
