Well Done, EHPRO! (Defective Billow v2 Nano)

Got a Billow v2 Nano for Christmas. Only problem is: The factory screwed the chimney to the base so tightly that I cannot get the two apart. And I've relatively strong hands. Tried heat. No go. Even a pair of pliers gripping the chimney with some dense, grippy rubber to protect the chimney. Nope.

Of course this had to be from an on-line store halfway around the world.

About to find out just how good Eciggity's customer service is. I do know this: Three tanks ordered on-line. Two with defects. Not a good track record.

I would have faith in eciggity. I'm sure they will make this right, but as you said, unimpressive track record.

Find where the juice inlets are and take a drill with a 2mm drill bit and drill out 2 holes (or one for each inlet) into the chimney just above the inlets. Then take screwdriver/allen keys and use them as leverage to twist it open...Then you have added juice ports and gotten it untwisted...

Oh, I do, FM. I choose the vendors I do because anybody can sell stuff. A good vendor supports their customers. It's just that, well, Christmas present, y'know? And I'm off till the 4th, so plenty of time to play with builds. But, now, with Eciggity being all the way in Hawaii, and it being the holidays, and the shipping system already being slammed: I doubt I'll see a replacement RSN. 'S alright, though. Stuff happens, I have other stuff to play with, and it'll be good in the end, I'm sure :) I was just annoyed, at first, is all. Certainly not going to let it ruin my Christmas.

raymo2u: Not hardly. Brand new tank that I'm confident the vendor will make right?

O Im sure they will but in your previous comments your attitude seemed like you weren't going to get it replaced or wait so a DIY fix was a alternative...Shit I drilled out my Crius, Mad Hatter Mini, TFV4 RBA, and almost every other RTA/RDA postholes/juice inlets not even 5 minutes after opening the mail for it...I just dont like how small they come standard, they all should have atleast 2.5mm postholes....

Never mind. I'm an idiot

Eciggity replied yesterday evening (my time), apologizing for the trouble I was experiencing and asking for a video clip. (Very good response time, I might add. Kudos to Eciggity.) "Video clip?" I thought. "Well, ok." Then, as I was waking up this morning, it all-of-a-sudden hit me: "Maybe he wants a video clip because what I'm saying makes no sense?" Then I remembered another member here had been trying to separate two parts on an OBS Crius that don't come apart. "I wonder..." I thought to myself.

Sure enough: That's what I had been trying to do. There's nothing wrong with the tank, at all. The user, OTOH...
