I normally always use a Sony VTC 5 or IMREN 3000 mah 40A. I normally build a .3

However, I am looking to get into lower building. I am just wondering with your guys experience what you guys like to use and know its safe with lower builds. I have seen a video of people doing .09 builds on a Sony VTC 5. Just looking for some recommendations and resistance levels you use.

In the 18650 size, I'm using the Sony VCT4. For the 26650 size, I'm currently using the Efest 3500mAh 64A (32A continuous).

For builds up to around 0.23 I use HE4s and 25R. Anything lower and I'll use VTC4 or LG HB6. The first is a 20A cell and the others are 30A. I've been known to push a 25R from time to time in emergencies but I strongly recommend sticking to the CDR.

Imren 40A is no more than a 20A cell with a bull shit rating. They're decent cells but don't build lower than a 20A can handle. OEM cells are cheaper too so you have the double.advantage of knowing what you're getting and saving some cash to spend on juice.

I tend to leave a little more headroom for safety with my battery choices on a mech mod...Because a battery can handle 20 amps doesnt mean i choose to use it all and leave no headroom should a coil wire come loose and it change the ohms all together by fluctuating below or above the safety margin.

I use Samsung 25R's for .40 and above and Sony VTC4 for .39 down to .20

This leaves a nice safety margin and keeps temps of the battery cooler as well (less of a load equals less heat)..Heat is the number one killer of batteries and running them to their max all time creates more heat...So, two birds with one stone here for me.
