1. "Will there be 1000 watt mods that are tiny and people will be walking around blowing ridiculous clouds that would put all of today's most extreme cloud chasers to shame?"
Doubtful. Have you ever taken a true 230w verified hit? I have, it wasn't fun! It was hotter than hell! Doubt seriously that you could survive a 1000w hit, at least not with the current state of the sport. But you never know, there would likely be people that would buy one just because "bigger"! That's the problem with that kind of power, it creates heat (quite allot). And it does take heat, among other things, to produce bigger clouds. So unless they can come up with a way to use that much power with out frying your throat and lungs, it's doubtful.
2. "Will it go in the opposite direction and will there be vapes that do not produce any clouds at all?"
Might be a thing. A dedicated "stealth" device would be kinda cool, as long as it gave the same hit and flavor, and for me the same temperature. I hate a cool hit, I like em warm.
3. "Will it be all trendy and will there be vapes that make different colored clouds when you exhale?"
Probably a good possibility. For what ever reason trendy and new always seems to sell. I mean look a Smok with all the disco light crap they've bot going on. Even the flipping coils have lights now! Colored clouds, eh maybe, it might be fun.
4. "Will something completely new that doesn't yet exist have taken over by then? Much like the patch existed before vaping, but now that vaping exists, who would want to bother with the patch, if vaping is better and more effective? Perhaps something new will come along eventually that will be different than vaping and replace it?"
Ya never know. I can't imagine what, but there's always the possibility that someone will come up with something totally different. Who would have thought 10 years ago that they'd have an ultrasonic mod that uses no heat. Does it work well? Not really, but it does work, as long as you don't mind muted flavor and low cloud production. Maybe they'll get it to work right.
What do I think will happen? Well, if we can keep the FDA from regulating vaping out of existence (which is what they and big tobacco are trying to do), then I think things will evolve slowly. I think batteries will get better and more powerful, but slowly. Unfortunately vaping is not a driving force for battery producers. The automotive industry and other customers in the rechargeable market carry much more weight than we do. We'll benefit from it no doubt. As other industries have the need for smaller and/or more powerful batts we'll get the trickle down. We've already seen some of it with the advent of 20 and 21700 batteries. Hopefully we'll see more. But vaping just isn't big enough yet to drive development. So it'll be slow. I'd love to see a single true 6000mAh 50a battery in an 18650 to 21700 size myself. Or maybe even a smaller size than that. It'd be great to have a single bat mod with the power and battery life of a dual 18650 mod or better.
As far as devices go, I think we're bound to see advances. I think we'll be seeing "smarter" regulated mods, maybe a mod with a chip that can some how detect the max continuous amps of your batteries and not let you exceed that with your settings. Who knows, maybe someone will come up with a new "super chip" that'll take us places we've never been before.
Tanks. How about a new coil system that's so efficient that it lets you blow clouds all day on 5ml of juice, and produces flavor that will make you think you actually are eating gummy bears. That'd be great.
Who knows though. Let you imagination run wild.
