what is the best coil placement for the drop solo?

i have 4 holes open on the bottom and use the normal cap not the pmma.
i place the coil like in the first picture but i put it in from the top.

1) would it perform better for my airflow configuration if i put it in from the bottom?

2) would it be better to place the coil a little higher or lower? in the picture it is shown like i place it, the center of the coil is between the top of the posts. would it be better for my airflow configuration to have the coil in this position or to have the top or bottom of the coil level with the top of the posts? or even place it lower than that like it is shown in the second picture?

If anything, you would want the air to hit the coil between 4 and 5 o'clock. So probably a little higher is better than lower. At least in my experience with the Drop Solo.

I found it easiest to go through the top of the holes, leave it about 3-4 mm above the post and just kick it over to center.

I liked it so that the bottom double row of af went under the coil, leaving the next 2 rows hitting the side, and I usually closed off the top row.
For that af setup using 3id, it meant just a little of the coil was higher than the top of the posts.

do you mean like in the first photo or a bit lower? and secondly, do you think the less airflow i use the lower it should be?

With 4 holes/metal cap, I would think put it where the af is aimed directly at it.

you mean both bottom rows or only the 1st of the 2 rows and the last row underneath?
