What to pair with Uwell Crown?

Hey everyone. New to the vaping world, and am trying to educate myself on everything. I will initially be using Uwell Crowns, and am looking for what would pair best with them. Size/weight doesn't matter. Durability, and Quality matter the most to me. I've seen some mods that have the battery door held on by magnets. I don't think anything like this will hold up to how I use things. I need something very durable... and something I won't have to worry about upgrading again later. So, what would you guys suggest?

Thanks

Really too many choices to list, but be sure it can fire at least 60 watts (and preferably more). You'll get more tankfulls out of a dual battery mod than a single battery (and this tank drinks juice)!

I run mine on an iJoy Asolo (dual battery), Sigelei 75w (single battery), IPV D2 (single battery), SX mini M Class (single battery), and Evic VT (lipo). I'm constantly changing batteries on the single battery mods, so at home I tend to use the Asolo and the Evic VT.

It will all depend on how you will be using it. If you want to use it in TC mode, then almost any single battery mod should do. Many are using it on the IPV D2 and the eVic-VTC Mini. If you will be using it for sub ohm cloud chucking with normal Kanthal coils, then a dual battery mod would be a better choice. For serious sub-ohm vaping and cloud chucking, the IPV 3Li, SnowWolf, and many other dual battery mods that go to 100+ watts would be ideal.

As for durability, in the single battery mods, the IPV D2 and Sigelei 75w seem to be pretty solid. In dual battery mods, I don't own any, but have heard that the IPV 4s and the IPV 3Li are pretty durable as well.

This is by no means an exhaustive list, but it should at least give you a starting point.

HTH

Primarily, I would be using it in TC. However, when I'm out camping with my friends, then yeah.. I can see a little cloud chasing happening. I definitely believe the dual battery would be better for me, since I can be out for days at a time. Thanks for the suggestions, at least i have a good place to get started looking now

I'm sure you could get by using single battery mods, but I think for something like the Crown or TFV4 a dual 18650 mod is really the way to go. I have both an IPV3 LI and Asolo. Both excellent choices imo. I also have a couple DNA200 mods on the way. I'm sensing a fall sale soon lol.

PS. Big Subtanks that produce huge clouds and flavor go through large amounts of juice and power. There is no way around it. Can't have one without the other.

Cheers,
Steve

I use the crown very frequently on my ipv4s (the only tank i have ever liked ) in my opinion that's the best choice for what you described your needs being its well made and vapes up to 120 watts the max for the crown. It's also very affordable at between $70-90 online and around 110 in a shop. The battery door is held on with spring loaded ball bearings rather than magnets and it has a very easy to figure out temp mode and takes 2 18650 batteries in series.

As a happy owner of an IPV3Li, I highly recommend you give it a try. As the trend for sub-ohm tanks keeps going higher and higher in wattage it's nice to have the needed headroom of 165 watts out of the box, and up to 200 with the firmware upgrade.

I am now leaning towards the ipv3 li. I appreciate all the feedback. Going to watch a few more reviews tomorrow
You will like the IPV3li. Crown tanks and IPV3li's are all I have used for the past 2 months. I like them enough I have 2 IPV3li's and 4 Crown tanks in rotation. Good luck with your search. I find sometimes the search is half the satisfaction. LOL.

i am running a crown on a 3li

its a fine combo...

the only bad thing about it is you can not do SS TC withe 3li.

Now with that being said
only 2 mods can do SS TC - the xcube 2 and the dna200.

Not every review I have read says the Xcube does the best job of SS TC...some people love it some people dont.

Now the 3li can be upgraded IF they decide to add SS TC to it later. I doubt they will given previous actions, but who knows.

In the meantime the 3li will run those SS coils in power mode wonderfully.
The design of the tank lends to it being able to use 98% of you juice before getting a dry hit. SO when the tank looks empty theres still plenty of juice in the coil so no dry hits with a partially filled tank like can happen with some tanks etc. So TC is not a big deal on these coils. Although I will eventually want to try it one day.
