What's the verdict on Griffin 25

I love my Griffin. Some will disagree I think it has a hair better flavor that Boreas. Doesn't matter, both are great. I use both.

I want a 25 just for more capacity. I know it isn't a lot more. Just the standard. No goofy air flow. All I want to know is it the same as the original but bigger? Or is something different?

I have a Boreas. I also have VCMT and it's pure junk. It's not a problem to get it to stop leaking. But then it's a very weak Vape... At least in TC. Drains out or doesn't wick. Nothing in between.

My Griffin, how I build it, hangs with my Boreas. On my VS200 it's smaller than the other on the thick Evo. So it's still plenty useful for me. I just want a 25mm version of it. If it's the same but bigger, I'll pick one up.

I have an Aromamizer Supreme, Billow V3 Plus, and Griffin 25. In my opinion, the way I listed them is the way I'd rank them. To me the Supreme is clearly the best and then the other 2. Unfortunately I don't have the original Griffin to compare the 25 to.

Cheers,
Steve

I think the VCMT is pretty good. No leaks - no dry hits using my friend's. I'm getting one for myself.

I like the Herakles RTA-2 as an alternative to the Griffin 25, much easier wicking and similar to the Griffin 25 in every other way and I also own the Boreas and Griffin 25 plus a bunch of other 25mm decks.

It really isn't all that. I'm far from the only one that gave up on it. Much better options out now. The only thing I will say is it had the smoothest air flow I've ever had. Other than that... Pass.

Well, ordered another Boreas and Griffin for spares. Got a Griffin 25 to try out. We'll see how it is.

Hmmm... I have the Griffin, Griffin 25, Gemini, Gemini Mega, Billow V3, Boreas, Aromamizer Supreme, Crius Plus, Crius 3, VCMT, and Smok TF-RTA G2. Honestly, it's getting to the point that picking one over the other is a case of splitting hairs...

IF I had to choose a favorite, it'd be the Boreas EXCEPT when it's time to fill. When it's time to fill, I love my Crius Plus.

If I had to pick a least favorite, it'd be the VCMT. I really really really like having some form of juice flow control.

ALL tanks except the Aromamizer are currently set up with nearly identical SS TC builds. The Aromamizer has a dual fused Clapton running around .29 Ohms.

I've not experienced leaking with any of the lineup, but the condensation on the VCMT can look like leaking...

I took the air control ring off one of my VCMT's. It totally eliminated the condensation on my mod. It's damn ugly now, but it's one of best preforming RTA's I own.

I've tried every winking trick I know. I only got two results. Dry hits (weak hit in TC), or it would literally drain out. Had nothing to do with condensation. It would drain out. Zero margin in between the two. I'm not the only one. As with everything vaping, works great for some. But it sucked for me. And in today's market, there are simply too many good tanks to struggle with one.

That's where it is for me. So many good tanks it's really splitting hairs. I think the Boreas is the best wicking tank I have had. I do think the vape is a little airy compared to some. But ya, splitting hairs. The vape is still really good. My Griffin is more dense to me. But capacity and deck space... splitting hairs. I run it on a VS200 and it's my "small" set up. Does everything really well. VCMT performs awesome. Just can't deal with how finicky it is. Especially with how easy wicking is on many others. The Crius performed awesome... but initial QC problems sunk it. And once I went dual coil... well then you really need a bigger deck. The Crius smoked any RBA I had before... but then it's like... hey, I still need more room.

Those are the only RTAs I have used. I won't go back to a tank, although my Crown still rocks when I use it. RTAs are it for me.

Damn I've been meddling with the Griffin 25 for a week now I can't seem to be able to get it right. Either I get a massive flooding in the chamber or I get weak to dry hits. I've watched most of the wicking videos and I'm still shit out of luck. Man, a tank shouldn't be this hard to make it work!

While i don't have quite as massive of a RTA collection i have the 22mm Griffin with top airflow, CoilArt Mage, UD Simba, 25mm VCMT with a 30mm on the way, and a Lemo Drop that rests quietly in its box because nobody wants to refill that little bastard from the bottom through a freaking screw hole.

I'd have to say while it was my goto for a long time the Griffin isn't even used anymore. So i decided against getting the 25mm because reasons.

Mage has the best flavor by far out of all my RTAs but my wife stole it, I carry the Simba to work every day because it refuses to leak and sips juice like a fine wine so i don't have to refill during the day, I prefer the VCMT at home because after i figured out how to wick the damn thing it is a great tank but thirsty as hell.

So I got a second Boreas, a second Griffin, and a Griffin 25. I had to send one of my boxes back so I was down to 1 for a week.

Started with the 25. Too little wick, leaked. We'll, drained. Tried it again, too much. I knew it. Way too tight in coil. Next, I think my tips are right, but too little. Seems sort of weak to me. I switched from pads to cotton bacon so that is what has thrown me off.

But moved to Boreas. Same awesome tank. And I got my box back today so it's back on its rightful mod.

Built the Griffin, just because that is what I want on my Vapor Shark. The 25 is too top heavy. God I really love the Griffin. The flavor is just nice and dense. It's not my all day tank. But definitely worth keeping it in rotation.

I need to get the 25 dialed in. If nothing I just need to use a pad. At least I know how to do that and I'll know how it is compared. We'll see if it's a keeper.
