Hey I was just wondering what mods/tanks everyone was using and what their "sweet spot" is - volts over ohm?

It'll vary depending on the juice, but my main setup is an Eleaf iStick 50W with a Kanger subtank mini using a 26g 0.7ohm coil in the RBA at 23.5 watts.

I vape a variety of mods/tanks/RDA's. That said I have the Dark Horse with a dual 24g build Im dripping on at 75w..good clouds
I also have a few tanks that I like when I'm too lazy to drip, like watching a football game..
Sweet spots per say are different for me ..none are exactly the same..that's the beauty of using a high powered (75w+) VW mod..it can do it all and lets me dial in that "sweet spot", or what I call my perfect vape..lol

My two main mods are an Ijoy A-160 and a IPV3Li, both with OBS T-VCT tanks. My sweet spot varies between 23-30 watts on the A-160 and 30-40 Joules at 420-485 F with the IPV3Li since I use it almost exclusively in TC mode.

I I've tried nickel builds in TC mode on both my IPV4 and IPVD2... very disappointing ...of course TC is new (to me) but for the time being I'll stick with my Kanthel and Nichrome builds in power mode...they vape great! :)

Sorry to hear that TC didn't really work for you. Maybe you should try a Titanium build, I've heard it tastes better. I have som Ti wire, and plan on using it as soon as I get the RBA deck for my tank.

With a ton of college football on TV (now) and the NFL regular season about to kick off my time building is limited..
but when I order juice I might order some Ti wire to go with it..thx for your reply

I generally teeter around 0.18-0.3 ohms on a mech. I like to stay between 60 and 100 watts. The SMPL v1 is my workhorse mod. My favorite atty in terms of airflow, deck depth, and chamber size would have to be the Mutation X v3.

Lower resistance for thicker wire, higher for thinner. It also depends on the atty. For instance, in my Mutation X v3, I would never run anything below .22, while on the v4 or the Troll, I can go as low a .16 because they have airflow and chamber space for days, though I tend to build a little higher than that in those. I like 22g at 0.16-0.18, 24g or dual parallel 26g at 0.2-0.24, and dual parallel 28g at 0.26-0.3. None of those builds ever do me wrong on any RDA I own.

My go-to build is a dual 24g @ 0.24 ohms; 7 wraps, 2mm id, preferably in the Mutation X v3. I do a wide variety of builds in a handful of different RDA's, but I inevitably come back to that when I want an all-month-vape. Generally speaking, I seem to get the best performance out of simple, round wire builds.

I'm using a iPV3 Li with a Smok VCT Pro tank with the .3 ohm coil right now. I love this tank, the flavor is great and vapor production is really good. I put it way over my Atlantis v2 on both accounts. I have a Tugboat v2 on the way right now, I can't wait to throw it on here and try out the temp control, as I haven't even bothered to upgrade the Li yet. Hopefully the tugboat is as good as everyone seems to think.

My sweet build and mod is a bit old school you can say. 1.3ohm twisted 30 gauge rayon coil inside a kayfun ontop a provari set for 3.9 volts vaping Hangsen DIY Tobaccos. I can get 3+ weeks off the coil and rayon before it begins to poop out and still the coil & rayon are in good shape and thats with vaping 10+ mls a day of a 6% DIY tobac . I just love how the Hangsen tobacs(Highway, Desert Ship, No5) vape so clean and aren't sweet.
