When to lock in resistance

Hello vaping community. Question is simple and in the title but when do I have to lock in the resistance of a coil in TC mode. Obviously when it's new, at room temp, and a different coil all together from one I was using. But lets say I lock it in then switch to a non TC tank. When I switch back to the TC tank, the one that I locked in the resistance for, do I have to unlock and then relock the atomizer before I use it. I'm thinking it is unnecessary to do this but want to make sure first.
Thank you,
Mike

some mods require a lock in for each change of the tank or rda / Coil at room / cooled unused for 10 minutes. others only need a lock in when it is primed and new so long as it is not taken off...

other mods only require locking if the resistance of non tc wire jumps to much
