Where do you want to see vaping go?

I was watching the latest video on PBusardo's channel with Tony from Zamplebox. A very good question was brought up, where do we as a community want to see vaping go? What kind of devices do you want to see, mods, toppers, batteries, etc. What kind of regulation (if any)? Where do you want new vapors to start (will the ego still be a starting point in 5 years)? Do you want Big tobacco involved? And anything I forgot.

I am surprised no one has jumped on this..

i do not know, as a community, i can't speak for everyone.. we all vape for different reasons.
devices.. ahh.. i would like to see the big mods slimmed down.. perhaps even a lady's vaperizor.. long slender, with a cool lady drip tip..
a man's vaporizer.. tailored to what a man expects lol i dont know.. not a guy :p
nothing awkward.. simple enough for new to vaping people.. but yet enough to keep experienced vapors occupied if they want to do that.

regulations.. i wish there was not a need for that.. but there is.. however, involving the government is not ever good.
would love to see some sort of vaping council put together, with safety protocols for both equipment and juice (2 divisions)..
i'd like to see schooling for both sides.. (equipment and liquids) available free or reasonable cost, to educate locally..
even a diploma program would be cool.. :)

i'd like to see vape shops checked to make sure they are not selling shoddy equipment or juice.. or that their mix practices are licensed.

Big Tobacco has nothing to do with vaping, so it should stay that way.. 2 different entities.. keep them separate..

i'd like to see people get along, and enjoy the process of learning, and to have fun, the way vaping should be..

I think that's about all for now.. if i forgot something, will come back and add on. :)

thanks CC, for bringing this up..

Thanks. For responding Smoky! I thought this was a great topic, maybe others do not?
These are my hopes thoughts on the subject...

As of recent, I'd love to see the elitism removed from the community. If you find YOUR perfect setup, that's fantastic, doesn't mean the next guys ego doesn't do it for him.
As for devices, kind of branches to regulation. I want to see devices being insured for safety. Things proven unsafe should be removed from the market or not allowed in it. I would like to see great new innovative products continue to hit the market and be free of cost prohibitive filings. I'd like to see liquid (both diy ingredients and premix) have a strict guidelines ensuring it is as safe as knowingly possible. I would like to see all vendor staff trained to answer questions regarding the gear they sell. Honestly I see no harm in big tobacco attempting to make equipment/liquid for vaping, as long as it's still open to the average Joe as well. Competition is good for the consumer.

Enjoy is hopping on the people was real "ecig" wagon. I was at a gas station and they had enjoy egos and clearos.

I would like to see china stop going with the who can make the first 1000w mod. I would like to see more mods that are 50-100 and can carry 3 18650s. Not all of us want to vape a flame thrower. I think in the future this is going to hurt the vape community. What happens when some noob who has no clue pumps a mod to 260w and sucks a flame down their throat? The fda is going to have a field day.
I think it would be nice to find more efficient ways to chase big clouds with gear not 1000w or 0.000001 ohm builds.

More meets would be nice. There are no larger meetings in Ohio, but this state sucks. No ones fault.

In the here and now, I want to see a regulated mod down to .0something ohms. Thus it would need some crazy watt limit since 4.2v and .1ohms is already 176W. I really want to build my 20 gauge and can't wait for my Sigelei 150w that can go down to .1. I also want to see more studies on how VG, PG and the most common flavor ingredients react at subohming temps. I saw a thing on suckmymod about raising money for one such study. I think the more information we get the better for us safety wise and the better for us regulation wise.

Long term, the list is long.
1) I would like vaping to receive the same regulations as smoking. No more, no less. No advertising, not inside unless designated for it (vape shops and such). Even if it is not a health risk, I know many people are still uncomfortable with it.
2) I want the vaping community to stop calling vaping healthy when discussing it with others. I know not everybody does this, and the vast majority of us understand that it is a healthier alternative to smoking, but to often I hear people talking to others who know nothing about it can call it healthy. I understand that they mean healthier and anyone I know who vapes knows that and doesn't think it worth mentioning but I get concerned that people who know nothing about vaping won't be aware of the risks as minimal as they may be.
3) I want batteries to accurately document their safe limits and for efest to stop re-wrapping batteries.
4) I want genuine mods and attys to come down to a reasonable prise. I understand if specialty mods/attys are expensive but unless it is a gold plated mod or custom graphics or what not, don't charge me $200 when I can get a clone for $20.
5) I want clearos and beginner batteries to have a larger selection for sub ohming. I know people who wanted more vape before the atlantis came out but weren't up for building. The atlantis is great but now they have to go out and buy mods and batteries and all they want is to pick up one item like a starter kit, fill it, and have it work.
6) I want every ejuice manufacturer to offer atleast 30ml size. I'm not saying get rid of 15ml, but offer 30ml. If I could, I would buy a bunch of 5ml to see what I like, and then buy all 60 or 120 ml.
7) I want to see some cool creative design stuff with regulated mods. I don't know what those would be since I'm not cool or creative though.
8) I want to see a reason to go back to mech mods. Design wise I like them so much more, but for functionality I have no reason to go back.

Oh boy. Where do I start? :p

I don't think anything will be about what I want to see. I think gear will take it's own course with out regulation and will be wattage restricted with regulation. I know a few vapers(ex smokers) and of them all, I have the biggest gear with a MVP 2 and a Naughty tank. These forums(all forums), despite the self appointed vaping community, do gooders and elitist "if you ain't sub ohming or using X brand of DIY ingedients you're doing it wrong" folks is not a true cross section of vapers.

I think regulation is a huge mistake. Vaping is cheaper and a good alternative to smoking. It's not cheaper because tobacco is expensive. It's cheaper because it doesn't require a team of attorneys to swim through and meet regulation and sin tax has yet to be applied. I never picked up a pack of nicotine gum to quit smoking because it was expensive when I looked at it. I assume there will be lots of folks that won't bother with switching to vaping when it has no cost benefit and health benefits are sketchy. If and when research shows a health benefit, much of this will change.

Is what I'd like to see in the vaping community is information on gear, juice and everything vaping related without the self appointed community leaders(not moderators), do gooders, and elitists deciding what is best for me. I would like to see a community of informed adults rather than a community made up of cliques that think they need to make decisions for me "as a community". Quit whining about a tank with pre manufactured coils and trying to make companies build them just for you(generic you of course). I have not been here all that long and I'm quickly growing tired of the "community" deciding what is best for me. At this point, the "community" cliques pass on information to me so I will join their clique and complain to company X about product Y for the benefit of the community which is really a small segment of the vaping world. All I want from the community is information so I can make an informed decision about what I buy. I don't want a community that professes to know what is best for me.

Big brother taking control would be bad. Manufacturers, suppliers and consumers can connect using the Internet in ways that weren't possible in the past. I say let us regulate ourselves. Government will not make anything better. Intentionally inviting them in is CRAZY TALK!! ;)

I agree completely, but it has to happen before the fed steps in. Now sounds like a good time.
