Where do you put the juice to fill it up? Or were you asking what to do with the juice in the tank when you switch coils and clean it? Typically people vape it down until the tank or pod or whatever is empty or really close to it before replacing the coil and cleaning it out.

Then treat it like a fresh tank. If using subohm or pod coils (factory coil heads) then prime them. Usually there are cutouts like windows in the metal cylinder where the cotton is exposed, drop a little juice there and work your way around. Maybe a few drops down the inside of it while holding the coil at an angle so the juice runs down the coil/cotton inside and soaks in. Insert your coil, assemble everything and use the fill port wherever it's located for your particular tank/pod and fill it up. Give it 5-10min or so to saturate the cotton so you don't burn it.

That is what I do too- otherwise if the coil tastes burnt before the juice is used up I will throw out what is left in the tank, rinse it down the sink when I clean the tank and install a new coil.

Most pods will have a hole covered with an attached rubber cover. Usually, this will be the fill port where one inserts a needle pointed e-juice bottle to fill the pod. The rubber cover will also act as a grommet to plug the hole once you refill the pod. These appear similar to bungs as on wooden casks.

Brief aside here. Yes, there is an actual thing called a bunghole. It is the hole in a wooden cask. The covering of it was done at times with beeswax. Sailors, supply men would often use wooden mallets to whack the wax in place. This gave off a sound of "bung" if the cask was filled. This is how bungs and bungholes then became known as such.

There are various such ports on RTA or tanks as well. A lot of more modern/current tanks are using top fill means to refill. If we knew which tank you're using we might aid in capacity of defining where and how you refill the tank. You may need to consult its use manual which should have come with it, or possibly a Youtube video.

You now have three explicitly concise, well thought responses offering valid and good advice. We hope we've helped you in some way. It's considered a nice gesture to let those who advise you know if they've helped. Thank you.

I just try not to ever buy tanks that have to be empty in order to change the coil. That is a right PITA. I've ended up with a few of them anyway, and hardly ever use them.

Cleaning can usually happen when I've vaped the tank empty or nearly empty. In the event a coil gets badly burnt, that burnt flavor is probably going to leach into the juice, so I'd probably just dump it down the drain and then do my cleaning.

Like using bottom feed RDA here. Can swap out wick, coil pretty much whenever I desire. Although think the coil/s in a few of my Wasp Nano RDAs are at least 6 months old if not more. They are still functionally alright, have swapped out wick material in them frequently. These are coils I've made or are simple pre-made ones.

OK ... (that means original poster... OP that's you) So... what tank, what coil ( did I miss something?)
You really need to explain (otherwise it's just like @ajvapes just said)

I would like to add something...if you really are total "newbie" (don't be offended) we are here to help you.
Maybe we can actually help you.
What aj's sig says "And when your world seems cold You got to let your spirit take control Let your soul shine" ... don't run away... maybe we just mis understood your question? I try to help newbies, but we get some people that mess with us... hope you understand. I am still here to help. BUT... otherwise I might tear you a new "A-hole"

Ummm... in the tank (did I miss something?) If you really want some feedback... which tank and which coil?
Personally, I don't use soap... just hot water and totally rinse. Then new coil and "prime" new coil... hope that helps (and I am being super nice tonight) Fill tank and wait at least 10 minutes before vaping.

You should be able to vape several tankfulls before having to change a coil (many variables here so do some homework on that (depends on tank. coil and wattage used) and how much you vape (how many ML a day) I went out of my way to help you (just in case you are really deserving of this... maybe so... I try not to judge newbies)

So I usually keep some blunt tip syringes around, because I do DIY e-juice I have them anyway and if I ever find that I need to change or modify a coil like in a rebuildable and theres still juice I just stick it in wherever I fill the tank or pod and suck the juice out with it. I have seen some pods that I believe would be difficult to do that so it would depend on what you have but even some of them that don't seem like you can do that as long as they have somewhere to put the juice in you can probably do it just with different levels of difficulty. You can buy blunt tips syringes on Amazon it's not like you have to have anything special to get them they're not medical devices. You don't need any special permissions. Lots of people use them for lots of different things.

I personally prefer the leur lock or twist on style blunt needles with a 5 ml syringe. It is reusable I mean again these aren't medical syringes but after a while even with the lubricating properties of VG it does get kind of hard to push the plunger and to pull the plunger but they're so incredibly inexpensive that you just toss them usually you can even save the needle tip. Anyhow you get a syringe that works for you usually they sell the needle tips and packs of 10 minimum sometimes hundreds get a bunch of syringes and just suck the juice out It's fairly clean it's efficient It's tidy

@AvaOrchid , good advice. I find blunt needle syringes useful for many things (and yes, I do DIY too)
Are you also on ECF? I miss being there but I let a few people trick me into getting myself in trouble (got banned) Nice cat... we had a cat that had a litter of 6 (variety of colors) only the black one liked water... in fact he loved it.

So... it's been over a week. No feedback from OP... I ran out of buttered popcorn and still the movie hasn't started. Waste of my time LOL Oh well... I tried. I really should have known from the original post (like how did this person fill the tank when it had the original coil in it?) So... to answer the question... put the juice up your ars!
