I have a version 4 that just came in. It was the PMMA model (don't buy it).
I need to get a replacement base tank, as mine BROKE unscrewing it from the base.

I will get the V4 and V6 in GLASS. Seemed like a good RTA (v4), good airflow anyhow. But stay away from PMMA or any other plastic in my opinion.

Think i will go with the V4 , seems the only difference is the glass tank in the V6.

I think the v6 is kind of a bust in the sense, no increase in airflow. They tried to copy the billow, but half ass'd it.. It has about the same airflow as the v4.

There are some major differences between the two
You will not be able to put the v6 glass on the v4, since you can't thread glass.

The v6 chimney is threaded and screws into the top cap, and it has seals on both ends of the glass. Also has raised air holes on the deck.
The v4 chimney seals with an o-ring only, and the tank itself is threaded on to the top cap and the deck.

1st pict is the v6, second is the v4

Thanks Robert , only thing i'm worried about with the V6 is the lack of airflow , i keep reading it's much more restricted than the V4 .

I'll let you know in a month or so.

I ordered a V6 tonight, as well as a replacement tank for my V4 PMMA. To me, the decks look about the same.

I have a Billow, and I think it was said rightly already. It is a failed attempt at copying the Billow. But, still a nice RTA, IMO.

I should also mention, I ordered the "copy" of the Kanger subtank. At the price Fast Tech was selling it for, I was in the market to buy.

In a side by side comparison just now, I'd say your right. But would say, only a little more restricted. If bigger airflow is what your looking for without having to drill out the air holes, check out the Ehpro Billow. Only problem is, it's 35 dollars vs 10 or 12, but has twice the airflow as the v4, and a glass tank.

I'm going to drill out the air holes on my v4 to better match the billow

I don't need tons of airflow but it has got to be good , if i have to really pull to get air forget it.

I just measured the decks on the v4 and v6, and they are both 13.83mm across. Your also correct, the v6 is a very nicely machined RTA.

Good news! I just pulled the raised dams/tubes out of the v6 using a pair of pliers, removed the air adjustment screws on the bottom and put a piece of tape covering the holes, and the air flow on the v6 is about the same or slightly better than the v4 now.

I'm going to post this over at the Orchid modification thread so we don't have two threads going at the same time.
