My gf is asking what RDA I want for Christmas. Two come to mind however I cannot pick and have no idea which one would give better flavor and/or cloud. They are Mutation X V5 or Troll RDA V2. Can you help me out please?

Might as well get a Goon or Twisted Messes squared if its a gift since they are double the price lol. But I would go with the Troll if you want to save your GF $ or grab a goon/TM2 clone, same price as a troll for the clones.

Actually I'm a fan of bottom airflow. I used the tsunami exclusively for a few month up until recently. Still have the pharaoh on my radar.

because it's more likely to leak or is there another reason? I've always preferred bottom airflow, I think bottom air gives the best flavor.
Leaking can be an issue but not enough to deter me. I usually pop the top off when I drip anyways.

Really like the troll v2. Price is right, like the airflow, easy build, super leak resistant.
@SirRichardRear I don't like bottom airflow mainly because of the leaking. I like to drip down the tip, and the bottom airflow really hampers being able to do it without taking great care. Hard to do while driving or busy at work. And, might just be me, but when i adjust a bottom airflow to my liking, it whistles. Only tried a handful. Not for me.

Bottom air you get the best flavor, I still really like the X1. For a 22mm the Hatty is still one of my favorites and love the options with the air. I really, really like the Mose, the flavor is outstanding and zero leaking, none what so ever. Another excellent RDA with bottom air and almost zero leaking is the Gear RDA.

Yeah the Hatty is still an awesome RDA, shut the side air off with a tame build then open up the side for your rowdy builds. All through the ranges of builds great flavor, its a very versatile 22mm

Yeah the Glasses can't compete but you have to admit it's not a bad RDA for $10
The Tobeco Symbiote with the triple coil puts out some good flavor, another $10 gem I picked up. While they're not as good as my high end devices for what they are I enjoy them and they have their place.

For fun, here's some bad picture of the decks. Please excuse the messiness (especially the TMS), I've been travling for work and these are the RDA's that got used. Oh and all the coils are made by @raymo2u , maker of the finest coils known to man.
Twisted Messes - Two post, 4'large holes, this one is the easiest to build on, IMO.
Goon - Two post clamp style. Also easy to build on but a slight curve for the first time, IME.
Petri V2 - two post, one large hole on each post. Kind of a pain sharing one post hole between two big leads but easy enough and well worth it.

a few advantages it has (IMO) over the other RDAs
1) won't leak even if left on side, those ones will
2) Price, it's only around 30 bucks
3) Flavor, no atty has come close to the flavor of the pharaoh. the bottom airflow right under the coils really pushed all the flavor into your lungs with ease
4) large juice well 2ml capacity. less time dripping more time vaping
5) easiest deck to build on by far
6) can do single or dual coil with no changes in set up
7) can accommodate over a 6mm ID coil easily. can also accommodate 2 3MM ID coils or even 4 4MM ID coils if you do 5-6 wrap coils
I can't imagine the Pharaoh having better flavor than the Petri but I've never compared the two.

u should give it a go. the bottom airflow RDAs have much better flavor then the side airflow ones. even the best side airflow ones like a good or TM24 or velocity can't compare to bottom airflow ones. another cheap one is the hatty. i got one for 10 bucks, it's only a 22mm with a velocity deck, but has bottom and side airflow and performs very well.
I hate my Pharaoh....always leaking and the air coming in from one side is just odd..it holds less juice then most shallow well'd RDA's which is crazy since it has its "own reservoir"...but it only holds 12-16 drops of juice empty..
Some of my favorites....
TM24, Goon, and G24 Seminole all for the same reasons. Large amount of build space and posts accept anything with ease, Flavor is outstanding especially for their sizes, airflow is adjustable and all can do single coil. These have been my favorites to use and vape since their release dates...these have past the time to prove them as great RDA's.
A couple new favorites though are the Reload and Aeronaut V2, Ive had them just over 2 weeks now and I love the vape off both of them, they are both pretty easy to build on and they are works of art in their own respective ways. The Aeronaut V2 has a 12mm+ deep juice well and you can fill it completely and tip it over without spilling anything, its everything the Pharaoh wished it could be..
The Reload is a mix of a few different RDA's I like and the quality of vape and machining....its just gorgeous...

shit where were u 20 mins ago. i just placed an order and was tempted at a yuri (12 bucks) but didn't really care for the airflow
just got a mutation X v4 (only cause it's tiffany blue to match my slice) a gear RDA (been eyeing it for a while, looks like a really good one) and a mage RTA for 40 bucks total

just looked it up. looks interesting but i just ordered a gear RDA which has 25mm, velocity deck, bottom kennedy airflow (but as 1 big hole instead of 2 little ones) and side airflow.
Aah too bad, the Yuri is an excellent RDA. The way the air is angled it comes up under the coils, this is an excellent, excellent flavor RDA. I've got two in regular rotation (SS and Black) and two in the FDA Stash.

lol maybe another day I'll try it. even though i like alot of side airflow RDAs i still don't like them as much as bottom ones.
Almost leak proof and it's a bottom air flow RDA, great RDA I think you're going to like it.

The Gear, it's awesome.
The Yuri though you should think about picking it up, as I mentioned the air is angled up to where it comes up under the coils. Then the way the chamber is designed it really is a flavor RDA, very good flavor and it also chucks some good plumage also. I really like that RDA
You guys should check out the Lynx RDa by Geekvape it has the same "Gear" type Side and Side+Bottom Airflow and Spring Loaded Clamps
Yeah I've been eyeballing it for a while now, really like the way the air flow is designed, almost as good as my Mose. I also really like the looks, it's nice and clean.
Tell you what Raymo when that Modfather RDA comes you I think you're going to go apeshit over it. A 30mm RDA with a neutral post? Hell I can't imagine what crazy shit you'll be throwing on to that Beast!

I do like digiflavor/geekvape products. great company but i have a lot of their stuff and nothing from cigreen so figured I'd try something different. Maybe i'll get one later on.
