Slowly I have just about abandoned my kayfun and aqua in favor of drippers without even consciously doing it. but i do really enjoy the ease of a tank. its mostly because of my preference for lung inhales, but its also because i vape some tank-crackers and dont want to risk busting my plastic tank sections. and not seeing my liquid level with a SS tank annoys me. so please post your opinions, vote, or both. thx.

oh, and im talking clones, which i can barely budget at this time. authentics are unfortunately out of the question for me.

I've only had the Fogger and Aquas thus far, but have an Orchid v4 on the way.
TBH, I'd say the build dictates the performance more overall than the atty itself. Of course, things like draw and air/juice flow control are very subjective, so it depends on your tastes there.

Hell, I can build a Genny that kicks out just as good as any dripper I have. But, that is with my tastes and may not apply. ;)

Clones are quite acceptable vape gear. While I could purchase the original items, I can get 3 to 4 good clones for the same amount of $$$$$$$$$

caff, thanks for the input. i guess what im getting at is which RTA would have big air flow and perhaps a warmer vape, and plenty of flavor. i fully understand the significance of the build, but i believe the atty design to play a role as well.

agreed. im pretty much all-clone and have been for years.

You guys SERIOUSLY need to try the Eleaf Lemo. Almost dripper like hits, and all around flawless IMO.

Downside? It's 23mm
im getting one, waiting on the drop to drop. but i think orchid is most like a dripper, lemo is more like a kayfun with better airflow (from what i understand at least)

when you say drop to drop, do you mean there is some sort of drop-kit/nano-version of this device on its way to market?

Yeah, the orchid v4 is definitely the closest, and I've tried a lot of different rtas. Still have to test out the lemo and the rose though, vape budget can only withstand so many purchases a week

Never really cared for budgets to be honest.

Better than living under a bridge and hoping for handouts while attempting to clean windshields at the local intersection with a bucket filled with urine and rainwater though.

What about the Big Dripper? I know it's not exactly an RTA but it is a dripper with a tank. I don't have one yet but they do have a clone out now with a glass tank. I'm thinking about getting one. The only bad thing i hear about it is that it's a bitch to fill. For me it's the Veritas. I know it has no tank but it holds plenty without any spilling for quite a few hits before needing to add more. And you don't even have to remove the driptip in order to refill. I love this thing. I'm getting an Orchid base and chimney to put my nano glass tank on also. Haven’t used my Kayfun in a while either.

good call. i should have mentioned i have a big dripper clone on the way from FT. cant wait.
i have to agree with you on the vetritas as well. one of my favorite drippers. that one, the origen, and the magma kick ass for capacity and flavor as far as RDAs go.
ive decided i'll be getting an orchid v4.
thanks for the opinions guys, keep em coming for those that might be still deciding on this topic.

When using a tank (RTA) I have found the Orchid v4 and even the Fogger 4 to do a really good job. They both have the glass inserts and once you get past the learning curve on wicking, they can't be beat in my opinion. i still favor my REOs and RDAs but sometimes I just want a tank ;)

do you happen to have a link to the glass orchid?

Yes, the kayfun quartz kits work. The one that I have came with the glass. I got it from an ebay seller and for the life of me can't remember which one. I normally don't buy from ebay but this one was recommended. You can probably find them with a search on there. If I can remember when I get a chance, I will try searching through and see where I got it.

Ok went and searched my emails and the one I have is an Aethertech with 6-7 ml kayfun glass tank. Seller is vapeoutlet on Ebay. Hope it's ok to post the seller's name here. If not you can delete :) I can post the link as well if that is permissible. The price is at $19 right now. I think I paid $25 so that's a good deal.
Have not had a bit of trouble from it but I don't use it all the time ;)

I have the FT clone of the big dripper for about a month now. My two biggest gripes with it, it always seemed to drip on one coil more than the other and flooding issues when not vaping.

Even with the airflow closed, it would over saturate and go from being overly saturated, to dry burns within a few hits.
I also noticed I went through a lot more juice using the big dripper than a regular RDA.
This could be an issue because just like you, I try to keep my vaping budget on the low.

Couldn't agree more , i would love to see the Veritas offered in a 28mm size but with a 1:1 design . Every Veritas clone that is offered in the larger sizes breaks away from that 1:1 original design and has a much shorter back wall and a much shallower well .

I think your Orchid pick is a winner also .

If your a hardcore dripper making your own juice is a must imo , i use to freak out when i spilled a little juice in the past because it was so expensive but when you DIY it's no big deal because it's so cheap.

Wow , never even knew about that one , the $99.99 price tag rules it out for most though i would think .

Yeah it is pricey. I still use it every day though. I've had mine close to a year now.

Wow , apparently you do get what you pay for .

I have the version one of that same one.
It worked awesome the first day or two then I started to run into my problems consistently.

Hopefully the version 2 is much better. I wouldn't mind picking up a version 2, if it works better for you, in the future.

I love my orchids but I have heard good things about the Rose V2 and want to try it. Personally, I want a Erlkonigin just because my favorite juice is 80/20 and the orchid tends to dry hit when I use it to chain vape. The wide channels look nice.

I like my big dripper, but why does it not have a fill screw? I would love it if it did.

Im interested in getting into rebuilding coils and I'm itching to try an RBA but it needs to have a glass/PC tank(because I'm forgetful and need to be able to check the juice level quickly) and it has to work well on an ego twist or iTaste CLK 1280. Am I correct to say that overall the orchid v4 fits the bill?

it would, but it would look like a lamp-post on a slim device like a twist or a CLK. plus youd need to coil it fairly high, so no thick wires. youd have to use approx 32 gauge. most rebuildables not only look better on larger devices, they also perform better. but if youre just looking to get a taste of what RBAs offer, you can make it work.

Thanks. I'm thinking of getting a vamo in January.would it be better suited to that? I don't want a mech mod or anything boxy.

no prob.
performance would be about the same, but looks would be a lot better.
