finally broke down and bought a kayfun v4 by infinite.
Ordered from fasttech so its at least two weeks away. Which wire should i buy, there are so many choices and im limited to a mvp 2.0 for now which is 11 watts max and will fire down to 0.7.
This my first RTA, started on ce4, protank 1, iclear 30s, iclear 30 and now aerotank v2

24g or 26g kanthal a1 wire and a bag or organic cotton from the local drug store. Wrap the coils on the supplied screw driver.

I'd have to completely disagree. No way an 11w MVP is gonna run either of those gauges well enough. 28g is pushing it.

You should seriously consider getting a higher power mod. Kayfun's don't need much power to reach their full potential, but they need more than 11w. I vaped mine for a while on an mvp2 and built it using 28g kanthal. It worked, but once I got a different mod and started running it in the 15-20w range the performance difference was pretty drastic. Just my opinion. Good luck.

Oh, one more thing. I've heard several people say they don't buy kanthal from china. Something about the quality and performance isn't the same as kanthal made in the states. Just what I've heard.

I build with 26g kanthal on my V4 and with 28g nickel. But, I run on much higher wattage, 15-30. There are some great vv/vw devices and now you can pick up the temp control, such as the Evic VT or the IPV4 for between $50-75. If you want to enjoy the Kayfun I would certainly consider an upgrade.

i still have the mvp because its the only one that lasted and wouldn't hesitate to buy another, going on 2 1/2 years strong and i heavy vape all day long. Before i have many different devices all meet their same fate, trash can :)

There is a 20w version of the MVP. Looks just like an mvp2, but it has an improved connector and has a 20w limit.

i got the kayfun v4 finally, it came with two coils, must have built it wrong cause the first coil broke like it shorted or something. Having good luck with 2nd coil. Like you guys said I need a new mod, i tried it on my Omicron Persei 8 @ 11v but i get dry burned taste, works better @ 7.4v but still get dry hit/burned taste, might be the juice i have, tried a new brand and flavor. The persei is a mechanical mod and im only able to change voltage thru battery configurations.

Should i still buy new device or can i tailor my builds to my omicron 8?

I have the kf4 on my mvp at 11w and its ok but seems to want a little more
