neither at this point dna30 has built in battery so it has a expiration date, the subox is to new to know if it will be any good or not.
Get a Kanger Kbox from vaporbeast for around $20.00 use Discount (YEAHBABY)
Or look into a Sigelei mini 30 watt for $33.
Plus you should really think ahead as to what direction you wanna go in vaping.

Thanks for ur reply. I was looking at the kbox as well. I just wanna be done with these tube mech mods. Sick of the drop of performace as the batt dies down.

Id just get more batteries. You can get more out of a mech than those 2 devices combined.

DNA 30 is a solid device, but quickly becoming old tech - I'm expecting a new DNA chip to be announced in the next several weeks, as they're cutting prices and clearing out inventory.

The Subox is tempting - Kanger generally puts out a good product, but you'd essentially be guinea-pigging it yourself hopping on board this soon. I waited until the Kbox had been around for a while and loved by everyone before I jumped on that one (scored a couple for $12 each, crazy good deal) - I like it, though the spring needed to be filed down to take off a sharp edge that was digging into my battery's negative contact. I'm tempted to go for the Subox, but I just bought some new mods with the Kboxes (and an iStick 50 that blows goats quality-wise), so I'm going to stop spending for a few months...

What kind of toppers are you going to put on whatever you're buying?

The VS is a solid device but if you are going to use any of the sub ohm tanks the battery doesn't last very long. If these are the only 2 choices I chose the subox after all it is the same as the Kbox but has full range of watt increments.
That being said staying in the $50 range I would go with the IPV mini V2 70 watts yihi chip and very solidly built just be sure and get silver as black paint sucks.

Do you need more than 30W that the DNA 30 will provide?

I vape at 12-14W so a DNA 30 is still overkill for me.. I can also care less about temp control..

The only issue I see with the VS is it's a LiPo battery pack..

Edit: Ooppss.Just read down and saw you ordered a KBox..
