It seems like everyone has a Reuleaux, especially after Christmas. I'm curious as to how many people own one and who has no interest in owning one. Full disclosure, I own one and love it.

I seem to be gravitating toward smaller mods in the 60 to 70 watt range.

Right now I am loving my SMY 60 Watt TC Mini.

Everything I own other than the RX200 is a single 18650 so it was a much needed addition to the collection.

I have no need for a 3 battery mod or temp control. I vape a 20W max. That's temp control for me. :D

I'm more concerned with small size than long battery life. I would rather carry 2 small vapes with me than one large bulky one. If one should give up the ghost, then one is still working.

I have a couple DNA200 mods I rotate through so I don't really have any interest in getting one. Since getting them, sadly my other mods just sit anxiously awaiting use on a shelf.

Cheers,
Steve

Like I said above, everything else I own is a single 18650. I too much prefer a small, stealthy mod but I vape at 45-65 watts. My battery life is not so great when using those watts on a small device. I also carry around back up mods and spare batteries but I never carry my RX around. However, I do drive a lot for work and not having to switch batteries out on the road is a big plus for the RX.

Nope - I'm a "married pairs" battery guy, and even with the cheap device cost I don't want to establish another 6 batteries so I'll have 2 sets for just one mod, when most of my interest is in dual-battery setups and I'll never go anywhere near the 150ish watts a pair of 20A cells can safely handle. While I must admit I've got some interest in the Realeaux, my next buy is going to be the Kanger 120 to replace my iStick 100 as my dual-battery tank mod. Still drippiing on my v1 Sig 100 that's now well over a year old and still my best performer.

A dual 18650 or single 26650, with the quality, form factor, aesthetics and firmware I like, for a price point I can justify: Yes. Nothing larger is interesting to me.

It seems like everyone has a Reuleaux, especially after Christmas.

That's why. It was the right product released at the right time.

It's like the Pie Face game. Except Pie Face was hard to find. But every kid wanted one and most got it.

Reuleaux, already yesterday's mod lol

I have read quite a few reviews about the Reuleaux RX, seems people have issues with it, three batteries for me, too big and bulky.
I ordered the new Cuboid, smaller, updateable, looks good, I will let you guys know what I think about it after about a week of heavy use, should be in my hands tomorrow.

yes i bought into the hype, when it only did half of what it was advertised to do i gave it away...200 watts in power mode, ill give it the benefit of the doubt...temperature protection in ni200, yep...in ss, in ti...nope, not even close, without tricking it...lol, yeah, thats the ticket, trick it...bought the dna reuleaux and it does everything it says it can do, even tells you to use sony and lg batteries and not to use 25r's...

No interest. I wanted one (it is an appealing mod), but bought a mech instead lmfao. Already have an X cube 2 (160w) and a Treebox mini (75w). I think already owning those turned me away from the Reuleaux. That, and I only recently have made a build that can be used over 100w consistently (Quad build at 117w all day).
Mech ftw

I can see the appeal. Plus TC.
I think my i100 is too big considering they played it extra safe going only to 100w.
If only I could appreciate the Kanger mod aesthetics. :(
Yeah, I don't find it particularly attractive, and I don't expect a bulletproof mod for the price, but I'm hoping it'll be built at least a little better than my i100, which did seem to be built like a tank (albeit with rattly buttons) until it crapped out on me. Looks like the Kanger is going to be a lot smaller too, which I like.

Sounds like a marketing ploy.

-Release a cheap one and an expensive one.
-75% of all prospective Reuleaux buyers will opt for the cheaper one.
-Out of those 75%, 50% will go on to buy the expensive one because they really want the form factor and 3 batt mod, but they want one that works as good as they expected the cheaper one to work.

Extra sales!

Kind reminds me of the old adage "he who buys cheap buys twice".

To large, to bulky, they don't charge the battery's equally, no need for all that power using tc. Give me a mod 60 to 80 tc = plenty.

They are nice, and the best design for a 3 18650 device. Like most others who do not own one, a dual 18650 is as much battery power/life that I need. I also chose the Fuchai over the RX200 for Christmas, since the Vaporesso Tarot was not out yet. Very happy with my decision.

I actually had intended on getting a Vapor shark DNA200 for Christmas but once I started researching and learning more about the escribe software, I had to pass.

The great thing about vaping as a hobby is how inexpensive everything is. I had heard about the Joyetech Cuboid, which was more along the lines of what I needed and far more practical, before I got the RX. However, considering they are both under $100 I can have both and be happy. I'm loving the "cut all throats including our own" business model in China right now, it's created a buyers heaven for us.

Actually it's not, and for different reasons for different desires.

It's surprisingly comfortable to hold. I'm a fan of the general shape. Like my Smowell 65... it's a Weeble. It may wobble, but it don't fall down.

For battery life, it's pretty incredible (the DNA owners think so too) and that just gets better on days when you're only using low power.

Totally agree. I have both and I haven't touched my Sig, VT200, X Cube, or SX since getting them.

For high power... really high power... it's the only way (with 18650s) to hit those wattages solidly, no pulsing, and stay there. Period.

For everyone, or even all day every day? No.
Ridiculous? Not really.

It does border on novelty but have you had a chance to hold one? It's surprisingly compact and feels great in the hand.
That's the good part of vaping, you can have it your way.
A small Vsdna or even smaller mini mod for out and about, a series box or OKL mod for raw Power or A big 3 battery box if that's your thing.
For now, it's a buyers world

Doesnt compare to the dna model if you're a serious tc person. I have both and the wife will get the rx because she uses tanks and ill stick with the dna for tc flexibility. Battery life is worth running 3 batteries

I use mine mainly when driving or when I'm working from home. I generally run it at 75-80 watts and get around 3.5-4 days out of a full charge. For those that use their RX as a all day, everywhere mod at over 50 watts, what kind of battery life do you get?

I own a lot of mods, but no desire for the reuleaux, might be compact, but it is still 3 batteries, which makes it heavy (have held one), dual batteries is more than enough for me.

I'd like to see Wismec and JayBo take a crack at a 133w/dual 18650 enclosure.
That would get me to look seriously at an Evolve product (Escribe doesn't scare me, I just don't have need of that level of customization)..
Jim,

Take a look at the soon to be released Hcigar VT133 (DNA200). Two 18650's with a board for reverse battery protection. Probably going to be my next mod! Here's a link if your interested.

Cheers,
Steve

Oops I was replying without quoting above.

It's an element of the coding Evolve put in their DNA200 board.
2 cells minimum gives 133w max. With 3 cells... 200 watts.

I understand the objections to the triple cell enclosure. A larger man than I might call it "pocket friendly", but I would not. So there's interest... and I don't need the higher wattage either.

Ah I see. Thank you for clearing that up, sir.

That advice is bollocks.
At 66w per cell... any of our top shelf 20As will handle it all.
Maybe Evolve has an interest in hard-to-source Sony VCTs. :p
maybe you need to rethink your reasoning...i never said they didnt have the capacity, now did i...but ask me and i may tell you why they dont recommend the 25r...

I like the Rx200. No, you can't put it in your pocket. Yes, it is a stable table mod. AND it works nicely for clonking humans on the head. Delivers a nice, solid, satisfying, incapacitating blow. The fit in the hand is perfect whether you are thumbing or fingering the switch. Granted, I'm a total gearhead and a mod collector. Guess that's why I just ordered the DNA200 version.
For portability and single 18650 TC with some power I still love my evic minis.

Don't own one and don't want one. I have enough powerful devices - Snow Wolf 200 and XCube 2 180 occasionally used for my RDAs. Had the HCigar DNA200 and am trading it. Honestly I am vaping three devices mostly now. I have my Noisy Cricket to get noisy with, my Haze mini dripper on my D3 and my Xvostick with a Triton 2. I don't even use my bellus, crown and aromamizer much these days. I rotate my RDAs though - I have about seven now.

Thee are just too mamny good new devices and I already own too large an assortment of regulated and mech mods. And then I try to pare down and make trades and end up with even more. On the shelf are numerous Eleafs of various wattage, Kanger mods, Evics, D2, Stingray, Colonial, Nemesis on and on. I even have Provaris sitting around and some old gennys. So NO - no releaux for me. Funny i saw the new vaporflask stout and thought - oooh - that is nice and then gave myself a good shaking.

Seriously though, sounds like you have plenty of good stuff.

Good luck with that, seriously - I've found that someone is only going to quit if they want to quit. My wife dragged me back into smoking for a while before she dragged me into vaping full-time once she was ready.

That said, if she's genuinely interested a smaller single 18650 or fixed-battery device might be less intimidating to a noob than a Sig 100. But if she's willing to try anything, that's great!

I absolutely fell in love with the RX200 my first time holding one, and being a recent convert to the DNA200 dark side I've had some serious internal struggles about buying one, but the triple 18650s is a massive turn off for me. Yes, I would LOVE better battery life out of a DNA200, but maintaining two pairs of 18650s felt like a hassle for me, I can't imagine dealing with 6 batteries floating around.

Keep the vape porn photos of this bad boy coming though. Paired with a solid RDA, this thing looks down right sensual. I'll have to admire from the stands. :(

Rx200 isn't a dna200. Reuleaux's Chinese chip is called RX200. Then there is a Reuleaux dna200 which is not RX200. I can't see an extra battery making a difference when you swap them all at once. Maybe if you don't buy a big enough charger. Can't wait to get one myself.
