She's a rent seeking academic. I've seen lots of them in fields such as environmentalism, energy, rights (women's, GLBT, minorities), communications, et cetera. Notice one thing missing? Hard core science and research. Mathematics has a funny way of showing reality when not connected to manipulated statistics.

She's just an academic looking to publish and get a few grants to fund her lifestyle. Ethics and Honesty don't matter when it's publish or perish.

If the government will support studies looking at cow farts and how they contribute to global warming, nothing after that will surprise me. Not even a study on how Pickles can scare domestic cats.
