Star Wars actor Adam Driver has opened up on why Kylo Ren turned to the dark side and abandoned his parents in the current trilogy.
Talking to Entertainment Weekly, the actor explained that his character felt that his parents Leia and Han cared more about the rebellion than their son.
“I think the idea of someone whose parents are very much devoted to the cause, that’s something a lot of people could relate to, whether it be religion or politics or a business,” Driver explained. “Not identifying with
yourself, I think can give someone a complex."
With the events of The Force Awakens, Driver believes Kylo is still coming to terms with what he's done.
