Will there be any contests that do not reguire having a facebook account?

Oh boy, here we go. I do not and will not have a Facebook account.
So far every contest or giveaway I have seen posted here are all Facebook contests.
Yes, I know Those companies need the most exposure they can get but what about us non Facebook peeps????

Shouldn't there be giveaways here for the Vaping Underground people and not just for peeps on or who have Facebook accounts.

Better yet, list it as a Facebook contest or a Vaping Underground giveaway.

I thought this was a forum not another gateway to Facebook....

Thanks, I know of that one. I was talking about every contest under the Contest, Contest, Contest thread under Deals and Steals.
everyone one of them takes you to facebook and you need to like them. No can do if I don't do facebook..
That's all. Nothing but Joe's for the Vaping Underground people...

some contest are set By the Sponsor who runs them. Some are simple others not so much.
Some require Facebook to enter others do not...

Well you get my point VU runs some and the OP who runs them sets the requirement not UV.

Yeah, you'll probably have to ask the vendors themselves. I think forum exclusive contests will happen once the forum has a good amount of members.

Thanks for the info. I was hoping this would not become a home away from home for Facebook.
It's till new and people will check it out and we will see within a month if this will be a awesome place or what.

I am hoping for an active but not facebook type place. if that made any sense.

maybe those in charge can seperate them, so people don't spend time clicking on a link only to find themselves on Facebook or worse...

Don't mind going to a venders site, not at all...

Yeah Mista Joe is good about those giveaways and i am sure he has something rattling around in that head of his.

Separating The facebook involved contest may or may not happen but ultimately it is up the the user to decided to do it or not. i see you already have a suggestion up.

I want this place to work for the vapors and those that are thinking about starting to vape.
A community of like minds and goals... learning, teaching, showing off the ways we do our set ups etc.

I think they should be separate, maybe in time they will be. I expect this forum will be extremely popular!

As more vendors join the Underground I'm sure they will run contests on here that do not require Facebook. Please keep in mind that this is a BRAND NEW FORUM... these things take time to put in place.

Just another vote for any vendors to notice.
Understood that promoting your facebook presence has value, but there are a fair number of potential customers who aren't going to "Like" you to enter a contest.
I don't F-book. I also don't ever "log in" to Google.

Cuz you know, Google tracks what color underwear you have on, and your i-Thingy uses Facebook to tell your insurance company to raise your rates if you eat too much fast food.

have to agree here.. if i liked every page that ran a contest id have a mess on my news feed so i dont even bother anymore, but i think VU will be big enough to run contests directly

I use Facebook but refuse to do the contests because I dont want to clutter up my newsfeed...It's already cluttered up with friends liking contests. Im over it and honestly dont pay attention to any of them anymore.

I don't have a facebook account. My old lady does so I just use hers. And then she gets made seein me sign up for all this crap. I just don't wanna deal with all the facebook drama.

Face Book creeps me out. I don't use it but a few years ago I did create a page. No pictures, no info or anything and all of a sudden strangers wanted to be my friend. This just seemed weird. I never did anything with my account and Face Book finally deleted my account due to a lack of use. Thank God .

You THINK they deleted it. Try loading an old pic url from it...I bet it's still there. ;-)

Once you put shit in the "cloud" it no longer belongs to you.

You're probably right but they did send
me an e-mail stating they have closed my account. This was about 2 years ago . Again , I'm just glad I didn't post anything to my page

That's a violation of Facebook's TOS. Can't have more than 1 account, cannot have an account with false info.
