Any update on how well the mod has continued to preform over the last few months? Still going is it strong I hope?
I have an Ijoy RDTA Combo as well, running on top of an RX200. Despite using a 'mod-guard' washer thingy from the very start, and being very careful not to tighten tanks down too far, I've begun to get the dreaded 'Atomizer Short' error on the RX200, (due to the 510 connection being of poor quality, and lacking sufficient travel in the spring).
In anticipation of the mod suffering an early death, I'm considering getting a Noisy Cricket II-25 to replace it.
Would you recommend this mod? Have you had any issues with your production model, (not the early models you tested), or does it work perfectly? Is the 510 connection good quality? (By this I mean does the center pin still have vertical travel in the spring loaded mechanism, or does it stay squashed down even when you unscrew the atty - this is what's wrong with the RX200).
Any other advice you could give to a prospective purchaser of the Noisy Cricket II-25 would be greatly appreciated.

I stand by my comments above (post from a year + ago), NOTHING really changed much (my opinion/understanding of this mod).
It sounds like (your noted precautions related to that RX200) that you are an aware vaper. Good on you for understanding/researching limitations of a devise you choose to use, and making concerted effort to live within short-comings. Some mods are like some girls; you can only stick it in so far, so many times then you need to perusal the field for options ;-),
My NCII-25 has had a few drops & knock-overs. Case has sustained a few small depressions and scratches. I need to get out a stone (knife sharpening) and smooth some of the edges sharpness.
NCII-25 is still daily primary currently on 0.13 - 0.146Ω builds, and/or using single-tube-mech's. Cuboid somewhat retired to build resistance checking and as an oil mod. Other mod's dust collecting. Also, still primarily running both Combo RDTA's in RDA Base configurations (more on that & 510 below).
Most annoying thing about NCII-25 still being the button standing proud of case. When you are actively vaping, it is excellent. But, complaint example - I have one particular pair of Carhart shorts with right-hand side pocket that I use for mod and/or phone that when I kneel down creates condition of self-firing. Occasional back-pocket firing. Since Spring '18 I have fried a few wicks :-( unfortunately. Still resisting installing a stick-on gasket surround or turning mod off b4 pocketing :-/ Sounds like you have addressed this potential issue satisfactory for your use ;-) I may still pusue this using a piece of hammered copper as a surround.
I DO find on occasion a neccessecity to extend the 510 contact on the Combo RDA to make good conductive contact (1/8 - 3/8 turn max). Is this because of 510 spring tension in mod ... ?? I believe the Combo may just have a relatively short 510 (O.A. length) in comparison to other atty's I have used. Generally though I make sure that the 510 screw is only thumbnail tight. Example: installing new build or deck I may use a screwdriver to seat screw, BUT immediatly release driver tension and re-tighten screw with only light thumbnail tension (just enough to lightly seal gasket).
I would say NCII-25 has a relatively short 510 travel (distance it moves up/down under spring pressure). May be an issue for those who just want to screw & vape, but not an issue if you pay attention to what you are doing (example: your comments related to your work-around on your RX200). I have not had any issues with any of my atty's not being compatible (exceptions mentioned, like sometimes needing to adjust atty 510 very slightly). Some atty's with really long 510's may require a spacer, etc., etc. (but not been an issue for me yet).
I am pretty religious about keeping mod 510 base well clean. I could see how residual juice could collect misc. pocket debris creating condition where 510 may not fully extend (staying partially compressed).
I would say that the overall throw/travel of the 510 is relatively short. I would expect this could be of concern for atty's that have overly short/long configuration (mentioned above). IF this was an issue, I would think fairly simple modification to shorten/lengthen a 510 on an atty.
Even though I remember spec's stating mod will not fire in series-mode under 0.2Ω builds (at least this WAS spec on NCII 1st version, or perhaps I saw Jaybo state that in early video), I find mine will fire in series mode down to ~0.136Ω (somewhere between 0.13 - 0.14Ω). Around a 0.12Ω and lower it will not fire in series. I would assume this not relevant (useful) to most (firing sub 0.2Ω), but I have found usefull options for this persoannly.
I have found that on occasion when switching from parallel to series that the mod will occasionally fire at zero resistance (potentiometer resistance) the first fire after switching from parallel to series mode regardless of potentiomter indexing (similar to my experiences with 1st version described in earlier post above). I accept this as a shot-over-the-bow (warning blast) that the field-conditions have changed (going from parallel to series is SIGNIFICANT configuration change), and always do a quick test fire and validation of potentiomter setting before getting near face.
Series Unregulated (8.4v like NC1) is an option. WTF - yes, you just need to learn your tool.
Config options also include:
Dual Parallel Unregulated (my normal).
Single Unregulated (1 18650).
Dual Series Regulated (variable potentiomter adjustable 2v-6v spec's - but I would estimate mine is closer to 3.4v min. and would guess 7.2v + on the upper regulated end).
I personally use this mod mostly in dual parallel configuration with builds that easily transition to my single mech's at any time (0.12 - 0.17Ω).
One thing I have not learned is an option to run dual parallel regulated (no option/config I have found to date). I have not tried single regulated though (might be worth a test for shits-n-giggles - possibly for low power oil usage ;-)

NO!
If you need others recommendation, this is not the mod for you. If you care to pay attention, think, understand what you are doing then ...
