Forgive me for asking a question that I'm sure at some point has been asked on this forum. I did do a search and coulnd't find a threat related to it so I apologize.

So I just picked up the RX200 I've been looking at it for a long time, since it came out, but when I got my Snow wolf mini 75 watt I liked it so much and the build quality was so awesome I ended up getting the Snow wolf 200 Watt and waited on the rx200 since I already had a 200 watt at that point. First I wanna say this device is awesome you can find it for great prices, which as we know the DNA 200 is very hard to find and expensive in comparison. Anyway I wanted a device that didn't pulse over 150 watts so RX 200 it was, but I'm having a problem A LOT of my RDA's don't seem to fit flush on the mod....I can't seem to tell if they are all the way down sometimes and some just blatantly have a gap. I know people say it's still okay to use atty's that don't sit all the way flush as long as they have a good connection, but I wanted people to weigh in on that and also see if anyone else had these issues. Unsurprisingly all tanks I have fit perfectly even the tanks I have customized to have protruding pins.

Thanks for your responses.

It would be nice if the vape industry could get its act together and fix something as trivial as a standard for dimensions for a connection as trivially simple as the 510 connector

On my Tobeco Velocity Mini I carefully took some of the material off the 510's pin to get that RDA to sit flush on my eVic-VTC Mini without over-tightening. Bought the Mini Volt/LowPro combo from ecig-city and found the LowPro would require the same attention. I haven't done it, yet, and probably will not. It's not my kind of RDA, so I'll probably put it up for sale, here, instead.

I bought a TFV4 specifically just to use on my RX200 (before I knew about this), and since I bought the tank at a local shop, I paid more than I should have and have no intention of just setting it aside to use something else on the mod, especially since I love the TFV4. Screw it, itll probably be cheaper to just go in and replace the 510 connector if it ever gets damaged than it would be to buy a new, decent tank to put on top of it.

You guys can use something like this. Here's the link if you are interested.

Other options would include a plastic washer, felt, weather stripping, etc (something non-conductive). Cut into a circle the size of the bottom of the atty with a hole cut in the middle for the 510 pin to raise the atty off the base of the mod. Lots of creative ways to deal with that problem.

I just got the RX200 a couple of weeks ago and haven't had this issue.. Glad I didn't go with the TFV4 and went with the Griffin instead. For atty's I have the tobeco velocity and hannya postless rda. Thinking about ordering the bellus rta. Any confirmed issues with this tank and RX200?

I'm wondering how many people are experiencing issues? I use many tanks on my rx's and cuboids, tfv4 included without issue thus far. Hoping not to have issues going forward. Will probably order a couple of those heatsinks posted above just to be safe, yet wonder if it is too late having already used the tfv4's on the mods? On the heatsink subject, are they easy to use? Is it just a matter of adjusting the screw to make contact with the atty?

I've never actually used one myself. I just knew of their existence. From what I remember awhile back people were using them to save their 510 threads on their mods. That isn't the only one available at FastTech. I did a search and came up with pages worth of them. Here's the link if you want to check them out.

PS Reading the first one I linked to above, it does seem like you have to adjust the center pin. I'm not sure if any have a spring loaded pin. There are pages of them there.

Cheers,
Steve

Thanks, I'll check them out. Will most likely just use the mods till they don't function anymore and buy a different one that has a better 510 connector that works better with the tfv4 and other atty's with longer 510's. Or possibly look into how difficult it is to replace the 510. Kind of a crap shoot, but oh well...

I put a 510 heat sink on my new mods before even trying to put on a tank. In my 2+ years of vaping, I have never experienced worn out 510 threads on any of my mods.

I have that problem with my eVic mini what I use is a thin copper sealing washer from an auto parts store between the mod and the tank. It doesn't mater if its conductive because it never gets near the positive pin.

Have you ever had a heatsink have worn out threads?
Good question, i think the answer would be none, but it is still a very good idea since Tanks/RDA/RTA/RDTA don't have a standard 510 length some taller some shorter, some with sticking out pins, some not, so it is good to put the stress on the heat sink instead of the mod.

Another important question is, do these heat sinks affect the integrity of the connection, resistance etc.. or does connection quality and resistance reading stay the same with and without them in place?

Any particular ones you'd recommend? I am gonna purchase some but there are sooo many damn choices! Do they all have adjustable pins, if so how do you set it properly? Thanks for the input, hoping it's not too late for my rx's and cuboids having already used tfv's and other longer pinned tanks on them...
