Wonder Woman 1984 has received a beautiful and stylish new poster ahead of its DC FanDome trailer drop. WW84 director Patty Jenkins tweeted the new poster today alongside "many fun new things ahead...see you TOMORROW!! Who's ready? [HASH=559]#TRAILERDROP.[/HASH]" DC FanDome begins tomorrow, Aug. 22, when Part 1 of the show goes live. The event was previously a 24-hour digital-only event before it was split into a two-part celebration of DC and a new WW84 trailer will drop during the first part tomorrow.

The last trailer released for the movie was released back in December 2019. A second trailer hasn't yet been released so tomorrow's will be the first glimpse at new footage in nearly a year. This new poster above features a colorful retro palette and matches previously-released posters for the film. WW84 features the return of characters like Steve Trevor while the titular hero finds herself in the 1980s facing off against Kirsten Wiig's Cheetah and Pedro Pascal's Maxwell Lord. Not much more is known about the movie's story although there's plenty to glean from the information we already know. [ignvideo url="https://www.ign.com/videos/2019/12/09/wonder-woman-1984-trailer-breakdown-rewind-theater"] Much of the movie's news as of late has been about its frequent delays. The movie was originally slated for November 1, 2019, before getting postponed to June 5, 2020. It was delayed once more to Aug. 14 and it now has a release date of Oct. 2. The movie industry as a whole has seen widespread delays as a result of the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. Since the start of the pandemic, fans have wondered how movies like WW84 would fare. Some movies like Universal's Trolls World Tour went to streaming services, completely bypassing theaters. Others have taken a more premium route, like Disney's Mulan. AT&T boss John Stankey recently commented on the possibility of a video-on-demand release for WW84, explaining that it's unlikely. For now, though, it seems WW84 is aiming for a silver screen release this October. [poilib element="accentDivider"] Wesley LeBlanc is a freelance news writer and guide maker for IGN.
