Wotofo contacted me several weeks ago to ask me to review a few of their products. I was excited to have the chance to share my experience. The following is merely an account of my experience with this device; as, it was provided by wotofo directly.

Lets start with a few tech specs:
The device can be run in both squonk mode, or be used as a traditional rdta with a side fill port. The full port, is not a plug, it’s a one directional valve. Liquid can go in, but won’t come out. It’s similar to the flapper valve on the stern of a boat. The atomzer can also be run as either a Squonk RDTA or squonk RDA, by merely removing the bottom tank and putting a base on the bottom of the deck in its place. Additionally both modes are available for dripping by swapping out the provided 510 pins.
It is 24mm wide.
In RDA mode it is 36mm tall, including the 510 pin.
In RDTA mode it is 44mm tall, including the 510 pin.
The airflow has 3 ports on each side at 1.5mm diameter each; and, are angled down and slightly inward toward the center.
The space between negative and positive postholes is approximately 7mm.
The build deck is 21.5mm in diameter.
The Faris was a collaboration between WOTOFO and VAPEGEEKQ8.
Inside the package you will find the Faris, assembled with the Clear RDTA tank, with driptip, and squonk pins installed.
I find the squonkable RDTA feature to be a nice convenience, as it allows for an additional 3ml of liquid to whatever liquid capacity you may have in your squonk box. The fact that it is easily removable makes it a nice extra feature for me, since I prefer to use RDAs for 90% of my vaping needs. Additionally, in the package you will find an extra 810 driptip, non squonkable 510 pins, wick port converter, 3 coils, 2 lace wicks, frosted glass¸ RDA base, extra post screws, extra fill port gasket, screwdriver, allen key, build tool and O-rings.

The included coils are N80, which I do not use, so I discarded them and went with my own SS316 coils. For dual coil I used 30x4/40 clapton and for single coil I used 28x4/38 clapton.
The build tool included is 3mm diameter and gives you a guide for the recommended lead length. In playing with different builds, I found myself cutting my leads a few mm shorter than recommended, which appeared to offer improved flavor for my cereal juices. The recommended length appeared to give the sweater fruit flavors a more of a dominant note.

The build deck is Exceptionally easy to build on with side facing phillips head screws. It is literally as easy as dropping the pre-cut leads in and tightening down the screws. Wicking was equally easy, since all you do is thread the wick in the coil and drop them into the wick ports. The placement of the post holes perfectly aligns the coil with the airflow and the added locking feature of the topcap ensures a perfect alignment each time. The one downside to the airflow, is that if you tune it down to one hole, you are left with either the front hole or back hole open, but the center closed. This leaves the center of the coil without direct airflow. I did not find this to affect the vape, but is worth noting.
If you run in single coil, you will want to insert some provided reducers in the wick port to accompany your wick tails. This will help prevent leaking with the reduced amount of cotton.
Dual coil with 3mm ID coils

Single coil with 4mm ID coil

As stated I preferred this in RDA mode. Not because I do not like RDTAs; but, more because I can not be trusted with glass.

Aesthetically I found the RDA/RDTA to be quite attractive. The fit, finish and construction quality are perfect, which, is something I’ve come to expect from the many previous purchases I’ve made of Wotofo gear. The o-ring tension was spot on, the airflow adjustment of the top cap was effortless, yet tight enough to avoid accidental adjustments. Additionally all of my other 810 tips fit just fine.
Also worth mentioning, is the 510 pin makes it one of the better pins ive seen for hybrid safety, with such a large portion of the positive protruding.

Now, to the important stuff… How did it vape?
It is a great VAPE! It will definitely earn itself a spot in my regular rotation. The RDTA makes it perfect for nights out when that extra 3ml of juice on top of the 8ml already in the mod make the difference between needing a refill bottle or leaving the bottle at home. In Rda mode the base makes it more of a juice reservoir than a juice well. I would guesstimate the well to hold about 1ml of juice in itself. That plus whatever is in the well and wick, had me noticing that I was squinting and dripping less than I would with my goon or recoil.
I find both the reservoir and tank feature to be excellent caveats, in their own right, of this atomizer. It is also extremely leak resistant. I laid it on its side for a good 12 hours and not a drop leaked out. I have also squonked it up to the top of the barrel and not a drop came out of the downward angled airflow. I tend to think nothing is leak proof, but, this has so far proven itself to be a great at preventing this cereal oversquonker from wiping down his mod.
To the vape itself… I find it to shine more with fruit flavors than cereals or deserts. Albeit, the flavor is certainly good. I found a 4 mm ID single coil to put out equal flavor to 3mm dual coils. (provided the increased gauge and coil diameter) but still require half the power. Vape production was excellent with the builds ive tried. It has plenty of airflow to make the cloudiest of vapor happy. However, if you’re looking for a tight airflow, single coil, flavor banger, there are plenty of options out there that will fit your needs a little more. This tends to appeal to the cloudy but still good flavor side of me. I would compare this more to the likes of the goon over the hadaly, to put a comparative point on it. My favorite part of this is being able to run a single coil with all the airflow open and still get a vape that rivals a dual coil build. The airflow is very much inspired by the recurve, which is a great thing. I tend to shy away from single coil rdas, that make them single coil just by cutting the airflow from one side. Getting the airflow from both sides tends to avoid what I would describe as an anemic fealing from the vape.
I won’t make any recommendation, Other than to say that I have really enjoyed my experience with this device and yes, I would buy it, if I lost it.
Pro
-anti-leak
-build quality
-airflow
-flavor
-vapor production
-810 driptip
-protruding 510 pin for hybrids
-plenty of options
Con
Airflow adjustment does not allow center hole open
In all honesty, that is the only con I can think of with this
The device just deliver. All of the features and parts make it one of the most versatile rda/rdta out there.
