I'm not understanding your description of the Sub Ohm shorty. Are you saying that it IS a clone? Or are you just not certain?

I am not certain, so I am going to claim that it is a clone just to stay on safe side. SOI could not tell me one way or the other. They said that the only way for them to verify is if I have an authentication card with a number.

Have you compared it to an authentic? I do see that the seams for the cap and the switch are fairly visible whereas on all of the authentics the seams are fairly invisible. If you sent photos to SOI and they couldn't say for certain then the switch must be pretty darn close. I love that switch on the Shorty.

I don't have anything to compare it to. Seams are definitely visible. In my mind trade value of the tube is around $20 since I have no idea is it clone or not. It is a nicely made copper tube with silver plated 510 contact , four piece disk and spring. Switch is short throw, on heavy side , and it fires no matter where the pressure is applied to. Let me know if you would like me to email you pictures of any specific area.
