X-Cube II (2) does it have the most technology in a mod?? Got one?!

So i just got my hand on one of these. If you know I'm not going to be a pain but I'm glad you're okay with it,... Sorry, just good feelings, i swipe what i like.

There's a app for it, it's 180 watts with a 160 sticker but i think its the greatest vape for a true techie. It's got Bluetooth and lights up. WTF? Sorry again but if you've got one too,

Please share your thoughts, experience and help. Thank you.

Far from "the most technology," but still a good mod from what I gather - though I'm a Luddite that just discovered TC a month or so back...

There's no way to update with a Mac, and you have to pay, right?

I got my girl one, she likes pretty things so the flashing lights got her attention.

Personally...I wouldn't be caught dead with a mod flashing like a disco.

You can choose a solid color of your preference, or fade between colors instead of jump, choose the speed that it changes, or just turn the light bar completely off.

I loved it at first, now I "like it". It offers a ton of ways to customize things. Be sure to lock out the fire button when you put it in a pocket or cup-holder, it is very sensitive. I sometimes have a hard time getting the mod and app to sink up. I am also noticing it is tearing up the battery skins on the positive ends from removing them to charge. It has become my backup needless to say. I heard from a couple people the Fuchai has the same issue with the batteries. I honestly think there are better mods at the Cube's pricepoint unless you are one that wants to tinker.

yeah, I learned real quick that when you take out the batteries you have to slightly pull it out the + end and push down so that the spring - connector doesn't tear the whole battery wrap off, I'm guessing you meant negative end? My battery door is rickety and wiggles all around, I know there's a way to DIY fix it, but I shouldn't have to fix it

I got to nothing to connect it with bluetooth, that's fine, I don't care about that. But no way to update with a Mac? WTF
And pay for updates, c'mon, that's some BS

No, DNA200 reigns supreme, has and I imagine will for a little while. I have one it's a decent mod for the $ imo, it has a learning curve though.

Dude, it's $1.49 for SS and Ti. Add that to mod cost still cheap.

Ive had the Xcube II and I liked the Menu and Functionality but hated the Firing Bar and I can count the amount of Fused Claptons that are singed and printed perfectly onto my hands from accidentally firing it when making a new build on it. I use my Snow Wolf much more then the Xcube becuase its Smaller and I dont use TC much at all, plus the SW Crimson is a much smexxier mod. I wish I could throw the XCube Chip into the SW and then I would be perfectly content.
I actually have a Mini Crimson Snow Wolf 75W that is supposed to be delivered this morning! I cant Wait!

In my case it is the "+". I'm always careful pulling out the batteries, and nothing I've tried works. I have since re-wrapped a pair and they will remain dedicated so I don't shred any others. The no Mac thing does blow. Luckily we still have PC's at work...

I've had three so far and it's a Mod you want to keep a tank on and never use an RDA because Juice gets inside easily and ruins it the other things are no two are built the same some have a fire bar that sticks other eat batteries and my newest one has a really lose feeling battery cover the only good things I can say about it is, it's cheap and flashy!! Awesome for drawing in a crowd but other then that........

It's a neat mod, but it's got quirks for sure. I think @Flightmedic76 got it spot on with "I loved it at first, now I "like it"."

My biggest gripe is the smallest thing - the fire button has an ever-so-slight ... shift. It'll "click" ever-so-slightly to the side, and "click" right back with almost no effort either way. Such a dumb thing to look at as a negative, right? It bugs me. It'll be in my hand and I'll find myself "clicking" it back and forth, and... I know I shouldn't do it, but I do, and it feels like I'm wiggling a slightly loose tooth. I know about it so I'll do it but it's only making it worse and worse until eventually it just falls out. But I digress...

Like a couple others in this thread, mine is sharp at the positive battery terminals and it'll gouge nicks into the battery wraps if I don't compress it down on the spring while extracting. If I used the ribbon to just 'pop' the batteries out, it'll cut a chunk out of the wrap - that I guarantee you.

Drippers are a no-no, unless I wipe it clean between hits. And that gets old, fast. The screen being on top is both a good and bad thing. I swapped the screen around so it'll face me, but that also swapped the + and - buttons - which are clearly labelled above them, but do the opposite function. Whatever, I guess, that's a pretty small gripe.

But I like the thing, I'm using right this moment and probably will continue to use it on and off today. I'm not unhappy with it, I'm not even disappointed. In fact, I prefer it over most of my other devices (except the Treebox, that lil guy is still my Golden Child) - but there's just a few issues away from being my favorite.

I don't regret buying it, and if it broke or got lost tomorrow I'd probably go and buy another one.

edited to add: Oh, I forgot one! I'm fairly sure my mod occasionally "forgets" that I've locked it. Now, I haven't gone all scientific on it or anything, but there has been a time or two that I've picked it up (after it had been sitting for an hour or two) and clicked it five times to unlock it, only to lock it instead. There have been other times where it's only after I started hitting it that it crossed my mind that I could have swore I locked it before I set it down. Maybe I'm just forgetful, maybe I just need to pay closer attention, but it's something worth mentioning. I don't have that issue, really, with any of my other devices. Like I said, I can't say for 100% certainty that it isn't me.

My velocity isn't too bad, but will definitely haze the screen. But I'll never put my mutation xs on it again...that thing is a slob!

Wow, i had no clue this forum was so informative and kept such experienced members. I'll be learning a lot more from here than i thought. Thank you all for replying, please continue as seen fit, lol

When i said the most technology, i was referring to the Bluetooth and app as well as features and functions. Firing mode styles? There's other mods that have soft and hard fire options as well as light up too?
I've set it to autolock, lowest brightness, and a nice dark purple light. Ladies love it from what I'm seeing. I'm not a rainbow guy so darker hues and solid fades work for me.
I don't take it up past 40 watts but I'm still using my super tank mini and vaping 12nic so any higher and I'm lightheaded.

I did my research as well after narrowing it down the Seawolf, Fuchai 200W and the XCUBE II. I ended up with the Fuchai and am very happy with my choice. The loose door would really bug me, I can see it going off in my pocket unless I lock it and who wants to do that each time. The BT feature is useless to someone like me. The puff counter and other features are things I would never use or care about. I read plenty of reviews that weren't so great as well. It felt a bit loose in my hand as well. I still want to try the Wolf, my son has one and likes it.

I've only used it for a day so far and I'm still getting used to it. The features aren't really explained in the app but I'm learning it, was wondering why vapes started to degrade and realized i had it set to stainless steel and not normal coils. Hits harder on normal than my sold istick 60 at same wattage so I'm sure I'll be happy with this tank. I like having to take it out my pocket so the size of it not actually fitting when i sit makes me vape more instead of smoking and I'm proud of it. Looking for a case for it as well, throwback cassette tape. I read the upgrade for unlocking the temperature control is FREE now and if you've paid for it, Smok is giving 5 dollar coupons to get stuff from their site. If you've paid for it, get that asap as coupons are only valid thru end of 1Q - March '16. There's much that I've found to be of benefit when looking at the puff counter, learning the battery life and juice expenditure. If anyone can say anything about my stuff, it spells t3chi3. I love having stuff to customize and personalize. I'm a Linux guy and used wine to run the app to upgrade it, those who love macs and won't touch a Windows PC know how to run Windows only apps too and it should be rather easy, I'm thinking a virtual box? Still in intro to programming so I'm no guru of guru's but this mod needs some work too, just saying i think this thing is a technically inclined beast.

That skin is a monster in itself but i love how it turned ya mod into a villain. Are they hard to take off, replaceable? I wanna read more about it and how other people have done things with theirs too.

once you put it on after 24 hours they are set and are a vinyl so taking them off is the end of it but yes you can replace them on one of my older Mods I had a Mad Hatter RDA and a twisted Mad Hatter Vinyl then later replaced it with a Cthulhu Theme after getting the Cthulhu v2 tank.

IMHO, it has a lot of great ideas but the execution leaves a lot to be desired. Had one for 2 weeks and after 2 exchanges because of numerous problems I went with a different mod.

That seawolf, @Dark Laughter, it's very nice from what I've read. I'm still waiting on some extra credits to get a skin but have been looking slightly, as I like to have the credits and then look. Ha =}

@Duecesjack, i think I'm sold on the lights, power settings and where the display is located. It can absolutely use a bunch of improvements still, yet they're seeming like they're going to keep it updated with upgrades and such. For the company to continually upgrade mods like this, they will stay in business. I think most people who've had issues were mostly software related and with Smok getting out the kinks, hopefully they'll learn and it'll get better with an even more beast version after perfecting this one. First thing i did after making sure the mod worked was update it, I'm not seeing volts but that may be in temp mode only?
Idk, I'm vaping mean clouds under 40 watts. Love it!
