Last week, in celebration of X Lives of Wolverine and X Deaths of Wolverine and the impact it is set to have on the world of mutants, we asked you to help us decide which X-Men team member was the best of them all. Now, after thousands and thousands of 1v1 super-powered battles with matchups like Cyclops vs. Jean Grey and Professor X vs. Magento, the ultimate X-Men team member from the comics has been chosen.

So, who claimed the top spot in the battle for the greatest X-Men of all time? Drumroll please...

While it shouldn't come as too much of a surprise, Wolverine has secured victory with a win percentage of 89%. By winning 24,837 of his 27,918 battles, James "Logan" Howlett has claimed the ultimate prize. Wolverine is not only one of the most iconic X-Men, but also one of the most enduring and beloved characters in all of media.

He has been the star of so many entertainment properties, from the wildly popular X-Men films from Fox where Hugh Jackman brought him to life to various animated series to multiple video games and so much more. Speaking of video games, Marvel's Spider-Man developer Insomniac Games recently revealed it is developing a standalone Wolverine game for the PlayStation 5.

Wolverine may have taken the top spot, but his margin of victory wasn't as big as you may have expected. Storm placed second and lost by only 0.2%. The rest of the top five was also close, with Rogue, Nightcrawler, and Magneto all winning at least 86% of their battles.

Rounding out the top 10 were Gambit, Jean Grey, Cyclops, Colossus, and Professor X. These mutants are of course some of the most prominent and front-facing members of the whole crew.

Taking last place, with a win percentage of only 14%, was the ironically named ForgetMeNot. Unfortunately for the character who first appeared in X-Men: Legacy #300 in 2014, fans around the world did, in fact, forget to vote for him more.

Sunder, Changeling, Ariel, Maggott, Cylobel, Ink, Doop, Hepzibah, and Wraith all won less than 27% of their battles and will hopefully one day get a chance to redeem themselves in new comics or future X-Men films.

Are you wondering where your favorite X-Men team member landed, like maybe Old Man Logan? (He took spot #20!) For all the rankings, you can check out the full list of where all 107 X-Men comic book characters who competed in this Face-Off ended up.
