Nice write up, RocketPuppy!

For me it was out of frustration. Frustration that 90 percent of the pre made juice I tried was just awful to me and the ones I did like were overpriced, hard to get or inconsistently made. When I left clearos and carto tanks behind for drippers and tanks I had to find a better way so, like you, I hit the books on DIY and haven't looked back. Now I can splurge on stuff I like by Nickoticket or some of the other good vendors out there but I'm not married to them. Like you said, it's fun and gratifying and you get just what you want after a little bit of patience and experimenting.

I had a rough time at first because I was an idiot and didn't take the sage advice of tons and tons of folks saying "test the flavors individually and get a feel for them on their own and at different percentages". Yeah? I just started slapping shit together that sounded good. Like 5 or 6 in one mix. Now I'm all better and have a good feel for things and can gauge what goes well with what and at what percentage with the flavors I use all the time and it's great :) I'm not usually the type that has to touch the burner on the stove to figure out it's hot but I was in this case. Good times ;)

Very nice article RP. I showed my wife the picture of your desk :D Now my little mixing table doesnt bother her. That being said I wish I had a full sized desk instead of a little computer table to mix on. I still want to try mixing by wait but I normally am only making 30- 100 mls at a time and it's still pretty easy with syringes.

Thanks for the article and I look forward to seeing more.

I really hate to disappoint you, but it's not my desk. Dr B is responsible for all the awesome photos on the article. When I'm home, I'll post my own set-up.

LOL its all good. Now mine doesnt look so bad :D Atleast to the wife. But I still liked the setup in the picture. Plenty of room for every thing. I currently keep all my flavors in a box. It is a major PITA to find a flavor with so many of the same sized bottles all standing up in the same bottle. I would like to put them in some kind of a rack but dont have the space currently.

I still have the same crappy tackle box from day one of DIY that I keep all my favorites in so they are easy to find. the latches are broken and I have to be careful to not pull the lid off when I grab it but I just cant bring myself to get rid of it.

Its really nice to see someone in the vape media who supports diy.
I always see them pushing the latest juice from different juice makers, but rarely ever see them refer to anyone doing it themselves.
It appeared to me that juice is profitable and diy is not, for most who make their money on business connections and promotion.
Aside from the '$40 liter of nic' I see on vaperjoes, very little is ever mentioned.

Nice job, rp! When's the next one? Are you a regular contributor now?
I hope to be a regular. I think I need feedback on the site so he sees that people enjoy reading my ramblings...hint hint. =)

That's the first step in making a Naturally Extracted Bacon vape. Otherwise, it tastes shitty, IMO.

Good job, RP.
The only downside is the wait time for laundry. It's a long process to procure a well rounded and robust NEB. However, it's obviously worth it, even if I have to forego clean clothes for months.
