In an update that went live today, Metal Gear Online has received the option to use real world money to “insure” Forward Operating Bases (FOB).
Should players opt to pay for FOB insurance, your base staff and materials will stay put when someone invades your base. The attacking player will still receive an identical amount of staff and materials, but your original stash will remain untouched.
Much like real world home insurance, not everything is covered under the FOB insurance guarantee. Any staff items that are not entirely your property (abducted staff being held captive, for example) are exempt, as are wounded staff, staff used by the player in defence of the FOB, and also nuclear weapons.
