Warning: Full spoilers for Young Justice: Outsiders episodes 7, 8 and 9 below.
You truly never know what you're going to get with any given installment of Young Justice: Outsiders. That has nothing to do with the show's quality, which has remained satisfyingly consistent over the course of these nine episodes so far. Rather, there's no telling which heroes and villains will become the focal points of any given episode. This week's batch casts an impressively wide net, from cosmic heavy-hitters to oddball Gotham villains and everything in between.
The new season has definitely taken on a looser, almost improvisational feel following those first three episodes. No longer are showrunners Greg Weisman and Brandon Vietti staying locked on one group of characters for these three-episode arcs. As we saw in "Triptych," they're perfectly content to switch up the cast multiple times in a single episode.
