just tried pulling real hard .. no problem ..worth a try I find that they turn with less friction then the cheapy fishing swivels .
If you used cheaper Swivels then you definitely are going to have issues, I wouldnt use anything under 200lbs rated...I use Mustad 416lbs Heavy Duty Ball Bearing Swivels (6 in a row) when using the drill, Ill grab one of those chains and check it out though, something tells me Ill break it....I break all my tools somehow.

They dont like when you go under .2 Ohms...your damaging it everytime you hit that button and thats why if your super subohming its not a great device...

I tossed an idea together about buying a domain and making a proper site but I made a quickie just to see how it owuld go...Remember this is only a half hour prefabbed site that isnt finished (think "rough draft")...http://raymo2u.wix.com/coilshop
Looks Great Ray!! I'm gonna have to order some stainless ones soon to go with all the kanthal and n80! :)

After I get the mod Im saving up for I plan on stocking gauges of SS all the way from 22g-40g, so I will be able to do any combo of any wire type in any coil fashion...I was thinking of even picking up Brass and Copper wire and making coil jewelry...

If your filling it like a normal RTA then you will get leaking.
Try this....Empty your tank.

Flip it upside down and wait a minute.
Shut off AFC/JC
Fill the RTA to the fill holes
Open to desired AFC/JC setting and take a draw.
Your leaking issues are over.

All right @ej1024

You can put your wallet back. I do love the Alleria.

I will even admit it is the very first RTA I've loved on first build first hit.

I'm still finding my sweet spot, but this is a very good tank for me.

When was the Merlin coming out again?

Agreed, but in Twisted's video he stated that the only drawback he's found is leaking, and warns multiple times throughout the video not to tip the tank over or lay it on it's side or it will dump all 8 ml's of it's juice out of the airholes.

I have not experienced that at all, even using the larger hole'd deck and jfc ring setting, and with the tails of my wicks barely touching the deck. Mine doesn’t leak a drop. On it's side, upside down, in the car, in the pocket. It's by far the least leaky topper I have ever owned.

I'm thinking twisted is missing an oring somehwere or he's got something else going on with his setup because what he's experiencing is definitely not the norm

He also mentions handling it improperly. Yes it may be close to 8ml of capacity but realistically it's much less. When you fill it and use it, you want to keep that air in the "coil chamber," trying to fill that with juice will end up with a weak pressure system in the tank. That's what he suggested doing. Let the juice fill that compartment and then refill it. This could result in leaking as you lack that pressure system. Give up maybe 2mL of capacity and avoid any leaking by properly leaving that air cushion inside the "coil section" by turning the tank upside down before top filling.

Yeah I do everything correct and mine DOES leak on its side. Everytime. Now I didn't notice it until a few weeks after having it since I always close of afc in my pocket but when I was out playing with my son I was vaping and holding it and tilting it it would leak. I'm using the 2.5mm deck at the moment. Only time it has ever leaked on me. I don't get gurgly hits either. It's just something I've decided I can live with since I love this rta.

Maybe try switching to the other deck, or adding more wicking. It shouldn't do that so easily.

Check the o-rings, more wick, smaller hole deck, that's what I'd look into. But, yes even if it leaks this thing is pretty beastly. I just know I don't get any leakage and lay mine on it's side almost every night.

Might be wicking. I cut mine short and have enough to just lay on the deck but under the coil it's open space no cotton. That how I always do my rdas. I can try the 2mm deck not sure if that's the issue. I've used bith decks and never noticed it until recently. All the orings are there and in good shape except the ones on both my decks are getting a tiny shredded. I've replaced them it just seems they are a tad tad too thick. I guess I will try to put enough cotton to touch the deck and fill the deck?

I go just a tad more than RDAs, RDAs I just touch the deck, Boreas I have the wicks fold and touch so it's a solid layer, but I press it down so it's not up touching the coil, but just creating a bed at the bottom.

I wick my RDA's with a bed in the juice well, because I purposefully overdrip due to vaping at over 130W dries your wicks out damned fast.

I think every RDTA leaks when left on its side, due to drippers leak when left on their side. But not all 8mls.
Griffin and Boreas the only thing I ever get is some condensation weeping (think a drop or two every once in a while, pretty sure it's just condensation build up). Diablo I have absolutely no leaking, but again some condensation build up, that I know is condensation and it's the unfortunate side effect of that airflow style but it's well worth it. Never enough to drip out, but when I remove the tank from the mod I can see a few little droplets of residue. The Diablo jostles upside down in my pocket every day, the Boreas/Griffin get left on their sides on my nightstand regularly.

received_10154168112029861.jpegthat's pretty much how I do it (yes I have since cleaned those coils lol)
I never lose a bunch of jucie just what would be in the chamber under the deck I think. I wish they took the time to get some of these oring right as the ones for my deck are always way too tight by a little bit but enough that even lubed up they don't want to go in unail they are broken in and shredding a tiny bit lol BUT I don't think that's the issue.

Well when you have side airflow like an RDTA, the condensation on the wicks comes out the side. I never had leaking on my Griffin style tanks though.

I go with a tad more cotton like I said, so it touches. But, for the o-rings IIRC (was pages ago) Roxy said the initial release of these had some slightly over sized o-rings that were changed out for later releases. Also said they were working on a full layout/list of all the o-ring sizes so people could more easily buy replacements. I'm not sure what the status is on that, I think @roxynoodle knows the correct o-ring size though.

I started doing the scottish roll type wicking a month or so ago, gotta say I love it. Seems it holds enough juice for even the longer tokes I'll take and fills back up rather quickly. Use it in the RTAs as well as the RDAs, always thought it was just for RDAs but it works very well in the RTAs as well, I haven't tried it in the Diablo yet though, that wick has simply not been giving me any grief and it's been well over a week, sometimes you just get those miracle wicks that last far longer than they should.

Yeah, Leon was supposed to check with the engineer last night on a list of all o ring sizes. I would rather not just measure them myself because it came to my attention early on that some assemblers used wrong sizes. Because of that some of us erred posting the deck o ring was 10 x 1.2. That was incorrect, and it's actually supposed to be 12 x 1. So as soon as Leon gets back with me, I will post what all the o rings should be.

What's the merlin?

My next collaboration with Augvape. Very different from Boreas, but easy to build and wick. Details will be coming soon. I can't say more right now because leaks have forced us to redo it once. We are close to production now with the changes we had to make. I can't chance another mishap.

I joined the Boreas club today. My silver one came in today along with my first bags of cotton bacon v2.

I also made my first ever fused claptons too, having only previously made simple or twisted coils.
Have to say, this Boreas tank is brilliant. Didn't expect it to be so much of a better vape over the Griffin.

Some pics if anyone is interested:

The coils I made are 2x24K/36K. They Ohm'd out at 0.14.
It was quite hard to find a vendor for the Boreas, I live in Spain (but from the UK), but I'm hoping the black version comes here too as I like to have both colours (I swap em up to get combo colours).
Also noticed I got the castle top version, which was a bonus.
Love how easy the cotton bacon is to wick, will definitely stick to that from now on.

That's all from me for now, sorry for adding nothing new.

New Boreas Build!!! So that means some sexy wireporn and coil porn for you folks once again!

2.5 Deck - Some 3 Core Staggered Fused Clapton (5 Wraps/3mm ID @ .09 Ohms)
This build BARELY fit into the posts....it took alot of wiggling and pressure to get each lead into the hole....they did not want to fit.

Will do Roxy. I might be needing the 2mm deck since I do 80w with 80vg.I just like having both of them built since I have a 2yr old and sometimes don't have time so if I can get them both built then when cleaning time or rebuild time comes I can just swap out the deck if I don't have time and BOOM I'm on the go lol. If that means I get some leaking when tilted (which isn't a frequent occasion when it's tilted ) then so be it lol
