I was getting all dressed and gussied up for the funeral, and pill popping idiot step sis that lives in a camper on my dad's front lawn and barely interacted with my Grammie says, "Are you dreading this as much as me?"

I refrained from punching her in her fat gaping maw. Instead I sneered, "She's MY GRANDMOTHER."

Why the fuck would she even say something so dumb? She doesn't give a fuck and frankly doesn't even need to go. Grammie didn't give a rat's azz about either of the pill popping stepsisters that take up residence here at dad's house of horrors. In fact, she detested them, rightfully so.

PS 3 month vaperversary today.

Unrelated but still adding to my irritability, left hernia is starting to get more and more hurty. Might have to cave and get that shit taken care of soon. Right hernia not so bad.

@m3rma1d - big hugs for today girl. Sounds like your grandma was always your champion, always on your side and will always be with you. Mine was the same.

Haha not as such, she loooved when I was little and she could cuddle and play dress up with me, but once I started to form opinions, not so much. She was a cranky old bat who said whatever the fuck she wanted, which was usually quite mean. She was rarely nice, except to people she didn't know. But that's what I adored about her haha! I hope to carry on her legacy as the new family Grumpy Cat. Big shoes to fill.

And also, thank fuck for Klonopin. Rarely use it, (prolly should more, for all the panic attacks but I save it for rare occasions) but when I do reach that point and have one like now..... Bliss. Pure fucking bliss. I love you guys.

I was 6yrs old and my sister a year younger hit me and I clocked her. I thought my Dad was never gonna stop pounding on me. When he did he asked me how it felt then had a long talk with me after the tears and pain subsided.

Your boy is almost a man and is in serious need of an ass kicking. Not so much to ruin his life but to make his life better, teach him some respect, teach him that's not what a real man does and maybe someday save his health or life if he does that to another female when he's standing close to someone like me that would surely teach him a very hard lesson to learn.

DON'T put up with any of that kind of shit, especially from your own kid. 2X4's have many uses and you'd be doing him a favor. He's almost a man and his learning curve is getting short.

I liked for support, lut hate the fact that you have a double hernia. I had to have an inguinal hernia repair done on my right side about 20 years ago and the pain before and recovery after the surgery sucked.

@Vapo I agree. My son is 33 and to this day you can ask him what's Mom's rule #1 and he will tell "you never hit girls". He is 8 years older than his sister and learned that rule quick. #2 is don't lie to Mom.

I agree My kids are far from perfect but they even told their friends what ever you do don't lie to my mom no matter what it is at 27 25 and 16 they still stick to that

Dad just handed me her wedding ring. I can't stop crying.

Will clean and size as soon as I get home. Good excuse to make me do some jewelry work after a decade hiatus.

That is absolutly gorgeous, treasure your moments with her always, I lost my grandmother awhile back she was a strong woman. She was always my rock now that she is gone I had to step up and fill some really big shoes (for such a tiny woman) Prayers and hugs are with you

My grammy wore her wedding ring almost through.. it was paper thin on the palm side.
She was buried with it and barefoot (she never went without shoes due to REALLY malformed toes due to the depression and being poor).
Glad you found your balance, keep the good memories, ditch the rest and look forward to not having to deal with the step sisters for much longer.

Wow! Hope he feels better soon, I can't imagine how he felt before or after the surgery. I mean my two back surgeries were rough, but I can't imagine what it would be like to have your lungs ripped out and replaced!
