Not only that, but look at who owns the polling companies.
I posted a link a few pages back. For one major poll, the owner of the polling company works for the Hitlery campaign. They polled only 500 people with a high percentage of registered D's and the margin of error was listed at around 24%. All the media cited the poll but not the small print.
Strong vs weak is a relative comparison though. On an individual basis, I'm much stronger than Hitlery. But with an army, or even just the FBI, that a government provides her, she is much stronger than I, unless I raise my own army.
In either case, anarchy or central government, the individual citizen must trust(or ensure) that the strong be moral and ethical. Under either, the strong does indeed rule the weak. Anarchy or central government. The only difference is who is strong and who is weak. Not whether there is strong and weak.
That's the crux of our problems today. The Constitution has been eliminated as the weak have continually handed more strength to the government in an attempt to be protected. The shear size makes it impossible to ensure that the strong are moral and ethical.
I'm not smart enough, and nobody else has been smart enough, to invent a perfect system where the strong have no advantage. Strength and weakness comes in many forms.
