And I wanna twist the n80 a bit more

For most of these build you will want 26g and 28g as core wires, 34g/36/38g and 40g are the most common outer wraps...for more diversity in build options you will need to invest in some wires and I know most people cant afford everything so here are some of the best prices and deals for wire there is.

Kbee wire has great bundle deals and prices for 24g-30g (Cores)
LINK for SS bundle
LINK for N80 Lower/Mid Gauges Bundle, Link for High Gauges Bundle
LINK for KA1 Bundle

Kingorchid on Ebay has THEE Best Outerwrap prices to date...if you message him directly you can get 38g-50g in 1000ft spools for a discount (the gauges not listed in 1000ft)
250ft of .6 Ribbon LINK
50ft of .5 Ribbon LINK
100ft of .4 Ribbon LINK
1000ft of 40g Kanthal D LINK

Man,those coils look freaking awesome. If I'm getting a set of those I swear I owe you more than I sent. I'll definitely have to throw those in the Buddha and vape the hell out of them.

Lucky sob!

Fuck. 50g sucks! It wasn't breaking. Just can't see it. So i kept walking it back/balding. Been thinking about getting some jewelers/dentist magnifying glasses, I already use +2.50 reading glasses to build.

Made some 26ss/42ni80 real quick for my flawless dinghy since 50g was a failure. Plus my wife is out of town so it's just my 2yo son and I. So no time to really build
8dad308fdcf90dc94a26b5cfe85a464e.jpg
these used to be so hard! Now they are pretty close to perfect imho.
Didn't like the ramp up/vape on the single Mohawk in the mage, so I staged it with some 24ss.
f006f9fd2556913534b9ef8023e92aaf.jpg
but still didn't like it, didn't even wick it. Need to do it with a different core..or try enigma or interlock.
Sunday I might build

What is this "camera" thing you speek of? Can I hold one and my phone at the same time?
Imagine a phone with a trimmed down gui and no network capabilities.

Back in the day if you wanted to send your ole lady a provocative photo of genitalia it was a much more involved affair.
You had to take 10 pictures or so because you don't know how they'd turn out, drive to CVS and hand them the film then wait an hour. The best part was looking into the face of the person that developed the photos. But we aren't done yet. Now you still need a stamp and envelope and then you just wait for her to page you and call her back on a land line.

The reason I asked is because I was wondering if all of these shots were from phones. Tom's photos look pretty damn good and I think he does them indoors.

I'm jealous of their cameras. I'm sure for coils you could get a good enough camera pretty cheap. I just wish I could get color shots indoors. If anyone has any ideas on how to make a mini booth that will let me capture colors with my phone, I'd be much obliged.

My problem is the light source reflecting off the metal or local surfaces.

Yeah but how do you illuminate it? If I piont my light anywhere near a coil it washes out.
As you know most of my builds are at night and waiting till morning just isn't an option anymore. Even prefire shots look better outside.
I can capture a little color inside but it's much more dramatic outside and in person.

My build light is LED. It projects light to a small area. I picked it because any other bulb washes out my monitor making it hard to watch stuff for my wife beside me.
I am going to try a box and some fabric and see what happens though...if I can finish these damn things.

You need lighting in the 5000K-5500K wavelength, can grab some E27 5500K Bulbs on Ebay. You can lay Tissue paper or similar diffusing material over the lamp and aim it into your box.

Ok, cool. Thanks.
Got a remedy for this?:

Lol. So close.
I think I know the problem. If you fuck up the stack and squish it there is no second chance. It will keep failing I think.

Not all my builds are insane....something that didnt turn out the way I wanted it to but I still think it was pretty cool..
Was trying to Get the Ribbon to make a Tsuka Design on the Center Wraps and leave the ends plain....would be a decent actual vape but it all just laid flat...
Specs: 20KA1/.4 Ribbon (10 Wraps/3mm ID @ .31 Ohms Single Coil)

People always ask me why I dont use a lightbox setup, this is why. Even with editing and more the colors are bland and lifeless and the detail is semi there...used a tripod and all...I feel my pics are much more lively when they are outside in the sun, the colors POP and I can hold it steady enough in my hands and get much more detailed images..

Just a smidgen of creativity goes a long way bro!

For sure! With a build like that... you just run the ribbon wire in the middle and then leave the ends plain, correct? I've seen you do similar things with other Coils where they change in the middle and had no clue how you got them to change like that. The others were a lot trickier of course, I imagine LOL!

Yea for most hybrids running the entire length of the core the same way that is how its done...it is that simple if the core remains the same the entire way through, your job is to make the illusion that they are different coils mushed together

A tip: a 3mm ID coils wraps are .4" long, 1" for 2 wraps. a 6 Wrap/3mm ID Coil is only 3" long.

3mm or 4mm these are 316L and work perfectly in temperature control...... Email the guy and tell him what you want...... Even his (3) core Kanthal and ni80 work in TC.......
Look at this on eBay http://www.ebay.com/itm/302077521857

The SS316L will work in TC I personally don't use the Nichrome or Kanthal coils in TC. :)

I've never really been much into TC and such but I figured I'd give it a shot. The G2 @ $49 was a steal so I snagged one :)

The G2 is a workhorse, even if you dont use TC. Its wattage is realistic and accurate, same with resistance readings. It can fire down to .007 Ohms and just about anything you could envision. Its the only chip I feel is in the same category as the DNA200 and I actually prefer it over the DNA due to ease of use and simplicity....no PC needed for anything other then updating.

Soon HohmTech will have a 3S and 4S version, capable of 150w/200w at .05+ Ohms....imagine getting 4V of power to just about anything you could make, thats worth purchasing IMO.

Yep. They need a 3 battery version for this chip.
When I set my vt133 and g2 to the same power the g2 is a clear winner. It fires instantly...something that is proven looking at escribe. The vt133 has a ramp up of it's own that you can see on the graph.
But I still love the DNA chips. I personally like how you can fine tune everything.
But IMO the FSK is the new sx350j.

No, 3S and 4S will be boxes that will use 3 and 4 batteries in series connection. The Hohm Run is one of them.

Thanks Ray and Whiteowl for your plethora of information. This site is truly amazing!

IMO The Hohmwrecker is something builders need. When you do a fused clapton in n80 the prefire load is 0.05...something exaggerated when you do a staple. If you don't have something that can fire that much amperage it's hard to work around.

My vt133 is on it's second RMA BTW. I've gotten more vape time with the G2 in less time.

Did u vape that crazy shit?

This is to all
What batteries are yall running?
Usually run 25r, had a pair hg2 to try.
Was working on a releaux 2/3 with the check battery problem, needless to say after soldering new leads, there was a failure in the board causing an instant drain of only one battery. It killed one 25r and one hg2. So now I only have one married pair.
