Why do DNA mods go for so much more money?

yep you can't vape over 30 watts with a 1.2 ohm coil.
It is a real problem for the way some vape.

what ever happened to the DNA60? I think it had higher output voltage.

I can vape over 30w with a .5 subΩ coil- I don't like the flavor any higher, I choose not to use higher wattage. I use DL tanks also. 75w DNA is fine with me.

So I decided to play it safe and grab a Wismec Releaux 2/3 in cyan while it's on sale on vape royalty instead of jumping right to a DNA mod. I need to save the money for other things like coils (I haven't learned rebuilding yet) and juice.

$44.50 for the mod, $20 for two LG HG2 batteries.

I can't wait to test it with my Aspire Cleito 120 on top! :)

Make sure to get an external battery charger like the Nitecore or the XTAR

As long as your happy with I'm glad you got what you wanted. not my 1st recommendation for sure, and don't charge it in the mod as it doesn't do balanced charging. get an external charger (which is always better anyway). I would have went with the alien or xcube ultra at the same price from that site or save 10 bucks and get an hpriv personally.
Hopefully it will be a good purchase. I picked it up because of a review on YouTube by C-Town Vape with it and he was saying how great the mod is. I am partial to C-Town Vape because he is honest and direct with every review and he says that the RX2/3 is his go-to vape every day. 200 watts and triple battery optional for less than $50 is stellar, I think.

Thanks for the heads-up on no balanced charging!

Also, lastly, I want to grab the Alien at my local shop to support my guy Charlie, the owner.

If not online I'll probably head over to Fry's Electronics and grab a charger there (any of you been to Fry's? MASSIVE! Bigger and better than Home Depot).

I love Fry's but the ones around here don't carry the 18650 chargers mentioned and trusted. I.e. Nitecore, Xtar, Efest Luc

No I have never heard of Fry's, but I know many places sell these type of chargers. Best of luck to you with your new mod, hope you get it super fast and let us know what you think! Cyan is the turquoise blue color right?

IMO if u use youtube for reviews use DJLsb vapes. He's honest and technical and runs real tests on mods. Best reviewer out there with a ton on info. Sadly alot of reviewers are paid off by manufacturers or are scared to give bad reviews so they stop getting free stuff. That's why I started reviewing stuff. We need more honest people and not shills getting kick backs or scared to lose free stuff. I'd suggest watching the DJLsb vapes review on the rx 2/3. You'll get more honesty from him and from people here then most youtube reviewers

The biggest things with the dna75 in my opinion ate twofold.
First is what @thecromwell said- the 6v cutoff
Second would be if using a 26650, is the irradic output of the 26650 in Comparison to an 18650.
A third would be the general inefficiency of the power consumption

I have 2 sdna75s that I do like a lot; but, I typically use them with single coil builds around a 0.4-0.5 and at around 35-45w to conserve power. I pretty much keep them with tanks for a grab and go beater mod

But that said I wouldn't go above 50w with any Single battery mod so that I'm not changing batteries every 2 - 3 hours

Thanks for the info guys. The 6v cut off is not a big deal for my style of vaping, as I like to keep things around 4.5-5 volts, though the lower efficiency is disappointing. But with the deals I got for the Lavabox mini (~$40) and SMY (~$55), I think they'll make great out and about mods. Also, I'm pretty lazy about switching tanks, so adding a couple more DNA mods to my rotation (along with my VT133 and Triade 200), will help me expand on that front. :)

The 75 watt DNA is fine for most but not all.

but people are strange the 2 that I know of that complain the most still buy high horse mods with DNA 75's in them and then complain about their 1.5 coils only hitting 20 watts. go figure.

So at first I felt that 2 LG HG2 cells and 150w max would be enough for me but I changed my mind and updated my order for 3 cells for 200w max and combined 9000maH. I figure more than enough is better than less. :D

:tigercat: is how I look when waiting for Vape Mail.

So he said basically the same as MikeVapes - battery door button not liked and no need for the third battery, preference to 2 cells.

I opted for all 3 cells in the end (buying and trying) so I'll update once I use my mod.

Oh and a supposed not too good 510 connection that can be fixed on a website online, posted in the comments section.

Aside from those cons people are almost always saying the performance is great with the mod, and for me that's most important.

Good to hear! I guess I'll find out soon. :)

(Maybe I'll buy just one more tank specifically for the mod? ;))

Maybe try this tank, this price is incredible for this tank, watch reviewers and you can buy and or learn to wind your own builds, I just bought 2 of these tanks and use Winter25 to get 25% off https://www.vaporworld.biz/tanks-rdas/obs-crius-plus-rta-black/

My problem was the weak battery signal, brand new LG Brownies- I went into Escribe and put in the latest update and it fixed that issue, now all seems fine. I really like my S-Body Legends, 1 I bought on a great sale and the other I won from Gearbest(if I knew I would win one, I would not have bought the other)

Don't forget the famous poor 510 pin and thin wiring that snaps off. Be very careful with the battery trey.

Thanx SnapDragon! I will check it out.

Make sure the reviews are for the OBS Crius Plus which is this one! The older version did not fare so well, but this plus gets great reviews and looks easy enough! I also just ordered the OBS Ace (1white and 1 black) which can use all types of coils- gearbest for $14.00 each and the OBS Engine Mini I bought from GearBest for $17.00 each. These OBS Crius Plus are the best price ever on a great tank.
GearBest shipping seems like it takes forever, but 2-3 weeks and the prices were excellent for these tanks.
Vapor World- 2 OBS Crius tanks for $7.36 unbeatable! Handling fee $2.99 and Shipping fee is $4.99 which would bring the price to $15.48 for 2 tanks that are normally $25.00 each!

Sadly no. That's what we all know here but most reviewers won't acknowledge. I hope yours works well though :)

I hope you're not comparing dna boards to ferraris, lmao :teehee:

No, I was just making a stupid joke. DNA boards are expensive but they are at least more reliable than a Ferrari. Heck Yihi and FSK are not cheap either. These are premium boards. Probably more like Intel is more than AMD. AMD is fine but Intel is premium performance. If that matters to anyone is up to them.

I knew you were joking! I would still like to try out a Ferrari and see what the performance is like and compare to my Caddy SRX! Maybe that is why I wanted a DNA board too? I really didn't know too much about them, but had to have one.

To be fair I have seen as many positive reviews as negative ones, so the verdict is a big ? until I get my mod.

 Because $45.00 would not be a big let-down, but it would certainly bring me up if it worked well!

That is a shame that a company knows there are problems and they don't fix them. That's why I like the OBS tanks, the reviewers were very critical on some of those tanks and OBS fixed those issues!
Sigelei took a big hit after a reviewer was very critical on one of the mods and really went after that reviewer for being honest.

That is so right! I use the Kanger Nebox- one of my most favorite devices and I have many mods. Many, Many, many Reviews of horrible leaking like all 10mls of juice, I have never had an issue of leaking with mine! I love mine so much that I bought 2 more! That Nebox goes everywhere with me and I could not be more pleased with a mod! I do leave my mod on its side when at home, too much juice weight maybe caused leaking? But I throw this in my pocket or purse, no problems!

Yeah. Efest and sig both went after people for being called out. Both are shitty companies. Wismec is too cause of the 510 issues and their BS warranty stance. I'm 99% sure they paid people to say the thereom was good too cause reviwers loved it and vapors hated it. Just poor quality products IMO. Smok was shitty I'm 2015 but did a great job in 2016. Ijoy has some really great products as well. Those are the 2 companies that are making good products for vapors. Wismec/joyetech is just shady. Aug vape has made some nice tanks too as does geekvape. So many options and so many reviwers put there it's really hard for people to pick products. But nothing is better then asking a forum full of avid vapors for their opinion.
