I just recently decided to try building my own coils. I bought a bunch of wire and I had success with my first coil, a 16 AWG 5 wrap nichrome for my pharoah RTA by digiflavor. It runs at pretty low ohms but it has been working fine for the last week and gives great flavor but with pretty high ramp up time.
Today I decided to try building some claptons. I used 2 pieces of 22 AWG N80 claptoned with 36 g immolation builders secret (the spool doesn't say what kind of wire, just "premium blend coil artist wire"). I did 5 wraps at 3mm and installed them in my peerless RDA by geekvape. When I try to fire the coils my SMOK Procolor says "ohms too low" and it ohms out at 0.08
First and most important. Because I am using a regulated mod I am not in any danger , correct? Also, what am I doing wrong here? My 16 AWG coild I made in my Pharoa ohms out pretty low too, but not so low that it won't fire. 0.088 to be more specific.
Thanks in advance for any help. Let me know if I should upload any pics or anything.
