Now all you have to do is translate that into mandarin and send it to all the chinese manufacturers! Oh, yeah! Might as well post it for all the "reviewers" become designers too!

At first I just chalked it up to squonk pin options being added to regular drippers, where a well is desirable (because dripping sux)

But now I'm seeing many squonk pins intentionally made to protrude above the deck = :poop:

Well, the Chinese jumped on the squonk band wagon but they clearly have no clue what squonking is all about. The sad part is that the "designers" don't get it either. I doubt we'll get a handful of really decent atties when all is said and done. Nuppins are like gold dust ( Todd's words, not mine), Stumpy is almost as hard to get unless Catfish gets permission to make more. Haku is good and B2k is decent ( my opinion) but that's about it so far for me.

the chinese manufacturers don't understand vaping in general, if that helps

it's not unique to squonking

they keep the industry alive though

That is very true! If anything, we have them to thank for reasonably priced squonk gear. It may not be high quality and long lasting but at least it is affordable and more people get to try it.

i don't get why

the elitists at scoff at when i do because of resale value drop

it's not the stock market, it's a stop smoking aid
Ohh I would do it too, but one should not have to do it or buy something expecting to have to do it.

I kinda have that p[roblem with buying the plastic sqounkers and hearing 'Ohh it is great just have to swap out the contacts and put a modmaker 510 in it because it leaks"...
I would expect this from a Franken clone or somesuch but not from a supposedly good mod.

Even a million dollar rda can't please everybody. We are all so different.

But if a $150 rda can be great with 5 minute modification, or not suited to me without, there's no question

Oh. And stumpies needed modding too. They didn't make a BF version.

I think they were 90 bucks, and needed deck drilled and a bf pin added, which were tough to get at all

I know that. I have a Stumpy "catfish edition bf" and a regular Stumpy. The regular one is slotted for a trip to catfish to undergo a gender re-assignment.

Does he still charge $40 for 5 minutes work and $1 materials?

And not provide tracking? Or communication?
I think last time I "talked" to him it was $25 but I'll check again. I bf'd a Igo-L and it was fine, if I find the time I might just attempt the Stumpy!

Buy a BF pin. I forget the size, but I could check tomorrow.

I have both 3.0 mm and 2.5 mm FD pins.

Thank you.
My plan was to drill thru the pin and deck in one shot.

  1. remove flat head pin
  2. remove + post
  3. + post in vice, upside down
  4. 1.5mm drill bit up through the deck [it will fit and not touch threads]
  5. throw out FD pin
  6. buy a goon pin, make sure thread extends full lenth
  7. trim length of pin thread
  8. reassemble

In the Stumpy, you have to drill the positive pin since it is a "funny" shaped kinda like a zig-zag shape.

and i was serious about the pin

FD head is thick

needs about 3mm ground off

but the allen key slot only goes in 2.5mm

so nothing to tighten once trimmed enough

goon pin fits, and has thin head

Just need a tiny hex drill bit :)

Glad to hear you're ok Lucy. What was the asspucker factor on a scale of 1 to 10?

Hahaha - went from 0 to 2, to 4 - got to six when it just wouldn't stop - kept waiting for it to get bigger - just got longer

Woke my ass up out of a dead sleep - my aquariums were sloshing all over the place but didn't tip

WE get a little extra worried here because in 1964 our town was destroyed by the largest earthquake ever recorded in North America - 9.2 and it was centered here in Port Valdez

Scary. Around here we just have to watch for occasional tornadoes. The ole wizard of Oz "a house will fall on you too" type deal.
