Do you know how to operate a mechanical mod?

Have you ever build your own coils before?

What battery are you using?

Do you use an Ohms Law and coilbuilding calculator?

If your answer to any of the above questions is "no" or "I don't know" then it is not safe

I don't understand how someone who knows nothing of what kinda wire they can use end up with a mechanical mod.

Welcome to VU dude. I'm going to go out on a limb here and say it isn't safe. Not necessarily because of your build, but more so because of who is using it. With some learning that can be fixed.

A mech can be a very rewarding vape in the hands of someone experienced, and in that same breath a danger in the hands of someone who isn't. This is how people get famous on the news for blowing themselves up.

Folks are a little reluctant to assist because your question indicates you might be winging it. Which is cool with picking up chicks, giving speeches but not with high amp discharge batteries being put near your face.

Can you enlighten us a little so we feel better about helping you out on this?

Well there are no such thing as a true 40amo battery. But the build you specfied comes in at 5 amps. So I'd say you'll be ok with this build. Not any others but this one. You really need to learn ohms law when it comes to using a mech mod. If you have to ask the question you did then you don't know as much as you think. I'm not trying to offend you but a mech mod isn't a drop and go kinda vape. Unless you know what's going in and how much your batteries can handle. I suggest steam-engine.org or numerous vape calculator on Android or Apple store. I use Vapetool pro. Works wonders. Be safe man. I also suggest looking into better batteries. Sony, LG

The guy above me is correct, knowing what kind of mech the switch is using (Spring, magnetic) those come in to play. You need to know your exact or very close resistance. Lots of stuff comes into play here man. If you dont know your resistance, actual battery specs, or much about the wire you are using, do not mess with a mech, you will blow your face off, and we dont want that for the community or to one of our fellow Vapers.

Imho when you're talking about a mech mod and have to ask if it's safe? No. It's not. I just hope you do a LOT more research and don't wind up with some piece of crap rewrap battery that claims to be 30 or 40 amps and it's only 9 or 10. Do like everyone else has already said and use ohms law, do the math, and PLEASE buy reputable batteries like Sony or Samsung. Better yet Google Battery Mooch even better look him up on YouTube. YouTube is full of idiots but Battery Mooch is NOT one of them. You can learn a LOT from him.
