I got my Christmas present to myself early. After the 100W and 100W plus I had high expectations. And it has met most of them. It has all the features of the plus (spring loaded 510, screw-less battery plate). The reason I got it is that it goes down to .1 ohms and my first build on it is a dual 20g 5 wrap sitting at .13 on a dark horse. While I enjoy the low ohms, the first thing I noticed when using this is that the fire button rattles. It feels like the button from the original 100W which has a little give.

So while it will be fun to play with the low resistance, I will still be keeping the 100W plus as the regular mod.

Thought the 150 also automatically would dial in the best wattage for your coil?

What do you mean best? Mine started at 10 when I first got it, but it's just a normal chip with a lock feature that goes lower resistance and higher wattage.

I read on one of the sites or ebay listing that the 150 watt version adjusted automatically to your coil.

Ordered mine yesterday :) first vw device for a while, ive been loving 100% mech setups but building those is getting boring so i figured 150w device would bring something new to the table.

I'm just the same, man. All mechs for quite a while, but had to see what this high powered box mod craze was all about. Prices on quality mods dropped enough so I did it. Since I got my IPV3 my mechs are getting lonely. I find my self vaping them sometimes just to cycle through all my batteries. 150, even 100 watts is insanely excessive, but the vape wherever you set it is so consistent. You're gonna be happy. Your mechs are gonna be ruined, though. I still do enjoy them, but I'd have to build lower to get the power I'm now used to. The flavor and warmth you can dial in is so great.

Yeah, i build low right now :D anything over 0.35 is too high. Lowest setup is 0.08 on my Doge, highest in my Orchid. Looking forward to 0.5 builds, pushing 150w in those and seeing what happens.

I'm so confused. I've only used mechs so far but I'm looking to treat myself to a Sig 150 for the holidays but I keep hearing about this button rattle. Is this a issue on all of them or maybe certain batches? Does it affect performance at all, like not always firing? A lot of people are telling me to just go for the 100 or 100+ but I'd really like the extra wattage.

I doubt it's that big a deal, besides noise and cosmetic. Not certain, though. Have you looked at the IPV3? I've had one for about three weeks and love it. It's 150 watts, and upgrade able to 165. It can be found for about $100, they're really very comparable devices. Don't think you could go wrong with either.

The only thing that wiped the IPV series of devices on the table was the whole elev8 and asomdus issue on the warranty of IPV QC.

After checking out some more reviews I think I'm just gonna go for the 150. The button issue doesn't seem to be that bad.

Sigelei has a 3 month warranty through Asmodus. IPV3's have a 6 month warranty through Asmodus. I think the issue was people reading websites that still advertise it as 12 months, and preorder people expecting a touch sensor and charging. Going in at this point, you get the same shitty warranty company either way, neither have touch fire, and the button for it actually looks kinda nice, and I wouldn't charge with anything but an external charger anyway, but I knew that feature wasn't there, too. I understand preorder customers pissed that they didn't get what they expected, and websites need to change the warranty info. Really aside from magnets vs. screws for the battery, they're pretty comparable. No updates for the Sigelei, though.

Again, I really don't think you could go wrong either way.

Do it. I can't imagine it's more than a noise. Nothing's perfect, and as long as performance isn't affected it's all good.

Well just as I was about to pull the trigger on the Sig, now some people are telling me to go with the ipv3 instead now. It's so hard picking between just these few boxes, was so much easier picking out my mechs.

Mine will be arriving in two days and I am excited to put it through the testing. I am happy that they reduced the resistance to 0.1 from 0.3 on the Sig 100/Sig 100 PLUS and so far everything I have read makes me feel good that it will live up to the expectations, unlike the IPV V3 or the Cloupors.

The rattle doesn't seem to impact performance. If you want to go the extra bit lower (.18 to .10) or if you need the extra wattage I would get the 150 over the plus. With that said, the only reason I could see needing the extra wattage is because you are building close to the .10 limit. If you are fine with .18 at 100W then I would recommend the plus.

Wait, what? The 100w originals only fired down to 0.3? I could swear that the ones sold in europe went down to 0.1 from the start.

MY apology - I had the v1 which did not work as the specs would say. Even the batteries would run down to 0% if I was not paying attention. Either way - I am crazy stoked to get my 150. I also am trying to get the SMY 260 for the simple fact that it looks gorgeous!

I thought a first look thread would involve some good pics lol.

I have been considering buying one of these but I have an ipv3 so there are probably lower watt devices I will go with first but I am still interested. I recently added a Hex v1, a unregulated Mosfet box, got a Provari coming from a trade and part of me feels like I still want a real Hana just because lol so my meager collection is growing and the urge to be an early adopter of the latest and greatest is weakening. If I hold out these can probably be had for 75-80 bucks in a couple months.

Why don't you grab a vaporflask? That and maybe a variant would round out your collection nicely :)

I think you would be fine either way you go. The Sigelei had a issue with the 100w and quickly made a v2, so the 150w box should be on point. P4Y had most of its bad press from ppl like me who pre-ordered and in latest versions has since pulled the charging port. So either should be a fine choice if you like a vv/vw box.

I don't think I would ever buy a Variant box, for the money there are unicorns to be had. The Flask would be nice though, but I am kind of frugal and like it when deals are found. A mod with a real evolve 30/40 board is on my to get list though.

Sorry, I don't have a good camera.
Didn't mean to sound like an ass but yeah I like pics. So you loving the Sig 150w?

Are you still having problems with your button? If so, how bad is it? I watched a youtube review earlier, it was called the Sigelei 100 and iPV3 death match. The guy in the review had something that sounds similar to your rattle and he said he was able to screw the button in a little which tightened it. I know we are talking about the 150w but it might be the same issue. I'll post the link for the review. BTW he still went with the 100w over the iPV3:)

Calling it a problem would be exaggerating. My 100 button ended up unscrewing when the inside piece it screws into came off. That was a problem (but it was replaced by the vendor). On the 150W it is just an annoyance so far. No functional issues. I tried screwing it in without any improvement. I think it just bothers me more than it should since the 100+ fixed the button and the 150W went backwards.

I haven't tried the IPV3 since I don't like the touch button but as far as the Sigeleis go I would still recommend the 100+ unless you need the lower resistance or extra wattage. I do like the looks of the 150W though. All black.

I heard that some of the new devices will auto adjust to the optimal wattage for you atty once you put it on there. I was wondering if your 150W does that? I've heard you just throw your build on hit the fire button and it will auto adjust. That might have been for the iPV3 or another device if not.

I don't believe any device does that since optimal is an opinion. However your description of throw it on and fire makes me think of the spring loaded 510.

I read the same thing for the sig 150. It can't be for the Ipv because I have one and it doesn't auto adjust, but on the other hand I haven't updated it yet.

I wonder if i'm the only one who finds the auto adjust gizmos pointless.. I don't need a machine to make decision for me about the way I vape.

Got my Sig 150 in today, it's my first box mod so nothing to compare it to but so far I'm happy. The button does seem a bit loose but it doesn't really bother me since it's not affecting performance and the throw is short so I don't really notice it. That being said, if I had tried the 100+ before I bought this I probably would've gone with the 100+. I'm running around .15 and 50 watts is plenty for me.

I have been using these all for about 2 weeks now, My preference is the Sig 150 watt devices. They are both great devices and do the job well, I like the sigs for a few reasons:

The larger fire button, just easier to use
The display panel is easier to read, don't need my glasses on
The silicon sleeve, feels good and protects the box

Can you folks that own a Sig 150 tell me if your mod has the vent holes on the side of the box like shown in this picture? This pict is of a pre-production model.

No, mine does not. Would not like them either. More space for juice to get in. The bottom venting is plenty.

I saw that picture when I was looking around before I bought mine. I'm thinking that could be a scam or a clone or something. Mine just has the air ventilation holes on the bottom.

Thanks,
I got the pict from eciggity's site. Glad the production model doesn't have the holes, wasn't going to buy one if it did.
