Today I decided to pay a visit to my local b&m. What a disappointment. The place is packed to the gills with whippits, kratom, cbd edibles and flower. Very few vape juices. They are now selling 120ml unflavored nicotine with flavor shots. And TONS of those dam puff bars. Not much hardware. 2 goon clones, a few falcon tanks, a bunch of agis mini kits and more pods than should exist.
I went in for wire or coils. Used to buy spools of staple wire. They don't have anything anymore. No wire. And only one little 4 pack of coilology framed staple aliens for $13 that I ended up buying.
The kid working there, while puffing on his puff bar CONSTANTLY, only wanted to talk about his damn nitro r.c. cars.
I left there feeling very sad. Sad for those in my area that rely on that place for their hardware and information. Sadly, they aren't getting either from that store any longer. It used to be the place to be if you vaped. Now it's the place to be if you wanna huff whippits and do whatever you do with kratom. And learn about radio controlled cars apparently.

Well, I was going to point you toward myvpro.com to get Wotofo framed staple clapton wire, but no dice. It's out of stock damn near everywhere in the States. The only two places I found it in stock were caterpillarvapes.net ($12.99) and evcigarettes.com ($16.99). It had been on sale for a long time at myvpro for $5.99 for 20 feet. (They do have a few other styles still in stock, tri-core and dual-core Claptons among them.)
Overseas, looks like Wotofo.com has it for $9.99 and FT for $10.24. Probably not worth waiting for weeks and weeks for a difference of less than $3, unless you plan to order a truckload of it.
Sorry to hear about your vape shop, but not surprised. I don't think we even have one anymore. Sounds like you don't either, really.

I didn't realize I was down to my last stick of staple wire until the other day. Now I guess I need to order some, and wait. Luckily I can make what I have on hand last for a little while.
And I have an emergency stash of close to 50 feet of round wire kanthal and ni80 both in 26 gauge. Hell I think I even have a spool of 26 gauge ss316l in the box too.

I don't know that I've used any really expensive wire or coils, but I've used a few shitty ones. The Wotofo wire isn't shitty. I can't say it's as good as high-dollar stuff because I don't know that for certain, but it sure seems fine to me, and at $5.99 for 20 feet, it's half the price of Geekvape.
VaporDNA does have a couple of styles in stock, too, Juggernaut and one other that I don't recall. I find the Juggernaut a little poppy and spitty, so have stuck mostly to Claptons and round wire.
@The Cromwell if I didn't mind using just whatever I happen to have, I've probably got at least 10 years worth of wire. The problem is, I've become mighty fond of a couple different coil builds that I wouldn't be able to make without specific wire. So I, along with @ChainVapeS need to order more Wotofo Framed Staple Clapton and tri-core Fused Clapton wire. As I've just discovered, good luck with that.

Plain old 29ga kanthal for me, 8 wraps around 3/32 drillbit -- don't even need one of those fancy "wrapping tools," that drillbit still works just fine, and so does the vise my husband bought me in 2014 so I could keep from having to chase heads all around the kitchen counter. All this fancy shit is FOR THE DAMN BIRDS!

Today I vaped while watching the craziness unfold in this country. Learned that with the entertainment business shut down across the country that I'm out of work for the foreseeable future. Thankfully I'm in a good place where I don't need anything vape wise.
Sorry to hear you are out of work mate. I did watch a news type show here saying how much affected the entertainment industry was being hit. Cinemas and things like that. Am watching now here a Basketball game live with no spectators and only ones there the players and some family. The entire stands empty. Very, very weird to see that televised like that. Saw too how cinemas usually full are now empty and people losing their jobs. Never thought I would see this. I can only say that I hope everyone here stays well and comes through this all at the end of it OK.
A friend of mine's up and coming band is on tour across the country with a pretty big musician. All shows for the rest of March have been cancelled. No play = no pay. He's back at home now. Bummer.

To be honest I really didn't expect it all to turn out this way, so world wide, such economic impact. Add to it all from the past year massive storms in parts of the world, massive fires here, the corona virus world wide. Wars, displacements. In the past 12 mths our world has just gone "whoah, huh, what!" The effects of it all in my mind, the flow on, are yet to come and we aint seen nothing yet! I cant help but feel, the good times are well and truly over and buckle up for whats coming.
There will be a notable percentage of the population out of work over this.
My sincere sympathies to all who are.

Been using the same one for well over 2 years as my out and about beater mod. Still works fine and heck even the paint is still good except for a scratch or two I have put on it from rough use.
had been dropped on concrete and pavement multiple times. The little magnetic squonk door on the bottom sailed of to parts unknown during one drop on pavement, but I had bought 5 spares so no issue.

I just started squonking a little over a year ago so I missed out on the fourteen dollar Squeeze's from Fasttech or whatever the price was. I got a bunch of Feedlinks which do about the same thing. But I still wanted atleast one Pico Squeeze. They're so tiny. No wonder why people were pissed that the Squeeze 2 was so much bigger. I already had 3 Squeeze 2's by the time I got my original Squeeze. I only used it to see if it works and put it back in it's box. I should give it a proper whirl some time soon.

I ordered a couole more Hellvape Passage RDAs from MFS. I've read lots of posts of people who think they suck for flavor lol. I didn't expect to like mine as much as I do but I think its awesome! I missed out on the Blue version though. It was in stock when I bought my black one but I dragged my feet too long. They only had Rainbow and Gold which seems to happen with everything. I'll still take them though for only ten bucks.

I've tried a bunch of different companies wires. You're right Wotofo does a good job.. I like Coilology a lot too. I already have a bunch of rolls but noticed Vandy Vape wires at Element. They have rolls of N80 3x28/36ga and a few others. I've never really used any of their rolls except for mesh. I'm sure it's decent though. I've read they do a good job at "Super Fine" MTL fused claptons and stuff like that.
I ended up with about 8 tubes of Wotofo N80 Framed Staple coils (10 pre wound coils per pack). I don't even use them but might give them another try. Wotofo sent me a couple tubes on three seperate occasions lol. One day around last Easter I was shopping at Element. Wotofo coils were all like $1.99 a pack. I got two of every kind plus a bunch of their Aliens and triple core fused claptons. I think I posted about it here but don't know if anyone else was interested.

Y'know... I'm usually one of the first to tell newbies not to be afraid of 100mg nicotine, it';s not toxic waste or anything. But I gotta confess... 250mg kinda scares me. I'm 3 klutzes and a knucklehead, in terms of grace and coordination, so I'm thinking I should just stick with my 100mg.
But you're right, I don't vape a lot, about 5ml per day, at 5mg, so the 4-ish liters I have now will last for some time. But, my son vapes too, and though he vapes commercial eliquid quite happily since he likes high- or max-VG... if that shit goes sky-high in price, he'll be more dependent on DIY than he is now, so I have to take that into consideration as well. He doesn't vape as frequently as I do, but since he likes those "cloudz yo", he probably goes thru roughly twice the eliquid that I do. Maybe 3 times. And I think he's at 6-8mg.

That much should last you almost two decades, if I remember what the Vapocalypse calculator said correctly. You should be okay with four liters, Andria. Although you’ve got family members that vape too, so maybe a bit more for them?
But he’s moving toward it as a healing plant. It isn’t psychoactive so it’s not about partying.

I'm just thrilled that 5½ yrs of not smoking has left me in a position to be able to join in! But i looked at my visa card balance earlier and nearly fainted.
And still need to get some more bottles and more nicotine; already prepped the mate about that, so he's all in... but I need to wait till after his social security deposit on the 25th and another massive payment on the visa card! I try to use that card for online purchases, because BofA's platinum visa has very low interest, and they're excellent about prosecuting fraud.Andria

EVERYTHING that hits the main spotlight is about CBD in one form or another.
Now, I have nothing against advocating CBD for those people who do benefit from CBD. But the benefit is offset towards the negative end, by the high cost of high purity CBD, which, in nearly every case where there are real benefits, is not sustainable for very long. As a direct result from this, you get the kind of marketing that focusses mainly on ignoring the added safety risks inherent of EVERY type of CBD product that isn't medicinal grade CBD isolate in pure crystalized form or diluted in medicinal grade carrier oils. The psychoactive effect of CBD is in the simple fact these days people talk about CBD as if everything that revolves around CBD is 100% purely magical, in a mass hysterical, like, just follow the herd style, euphoria. So it's most certainly about partying in this regard.

I broke down and ordered three more rolls of the wire that myVpro had on hand, two of the tri-core and one of the dual core Claptons. That is enough wire, when added to what I already have.
I think it was @Jinx'd who asked in another thread, "do coils wear out?" I really don't know that they do, have never been patient enough to use a coil all the way to the end of its lifespan. I get adventurous with something new, and invariably I replace coils before they really need to be replaced. Might be time to stop doing that, though.
Mixing habits might need to change, too, depending on what happens with flavors and nicotine.
Between thinking about all of this deeming regulation stuff, and the COVID-19 stuff, I am damn depressed today. Placed a grocery order to pick up tomorrow morning from Walmart, have no idea if I'll get half of what I've bought. It is a crazy time.
And sadly will get worse.

My sister and I talked last week about her coming to stay for a few days to try to get her car back on the road. It's been parked in a field at our place for several years, long story that I won't go into now. When she called today to finalize arrangements, I just had to tell her we have to put it off. I am not comfortable bringing anyone who doesn't live here into the house right now, especially if they plan to go out to all kinds of public places, and require me to drive them around and get exposed to all of that myself. I'm just not going to do it.
I've had six bouts of staph to fight off in the last eight months. I'm not going anywhere near anybody for a while. My work might not understand, but they are going to learn all about it on Monday. Y'all wish me luck. If they fire me, I'll just call Social Security and sign up. Medicare will be in effect in a few months. Screw it.
