Kayfun and Orchid ??

So from what I can tell the kayfun and Orchid are very similar except Dual coils vs Single coil yes? Are they pretty much sealed meaning I can put it in my pocket and wont have to worry about leaking on its side? Im thinking Kayfun if they dont leak on there side. Ive tried dual coils on my Kraken and Pulse G but didnt really notice too much of a difference except I when through a bunch of juice. I dont plan on going below 1 ohm. Any recommendations? I usually order my stuff from Fastech but have ordered a few things from Armetius Custom Mod Creations and My Freedom Smokes and they have been pretty good also.

orchids have a ton more airflow and are popular for sub ohmers/drippers. kayfun have tighter draw and most people use them (including myself) around 1 ohm. kayfuns wont leak, orchids will until you build it perfectly. i say go for a tobeco kayfun 4 you wont be disappointed. got mine from focal usa warehouse but they are all over the place

Thanks for the info. Anything I should look out for on kayfuns looks like there's like 4 or 5 versions. The 4's can hold the most juice. Do they have adjustable pins for a 4nine mod?

id stick with one of those two. the v4 has an adjustable pin not sure about the lite plus v2 but dont think so

The kayfun 3.1 has a bottom cap that collects any liquid that happens to leak out of the chamber. The kayfun lite doesn't have the same bottom cap so if it does leak, it will leak externally. I have an ehpro kayfun 3.1 and love it. It has the bottom cap, adjustable air flow control and it's made very well. Most prefer a kayfun lite. Not me. I like my 3.1. Just my opinion.
Of course the Kayfun v4 has the ability to shut off the juice supply which should eliminate any leaking and it has features not found on any other kayfun model. I will eventually add a k4 to my stash.

I've got a dozen or more of each and I think a comparison of the two is an apples vs. oranges type thing! They are completely different! I vape a Kayfun at 15 watts, I vape an orchid at 30 watts! An Orchid has twice the airflow of a Kayfun! They're both great attys and have their place in my collection, but I wouldn't pit one against the other!

I think if your lucky you choose an Atomizer for each type of Vaping. Have some that just give loving flavor. Some that make Fog Banks. Some do both. It's a Hobby, it requires parts.

yep exactly just like you cant compare lemo to billow apples to apples. lemo to kayfun would be more apples to apples or orchid to billow

They will both leak if you don't get the vacuum right or use to much cotton I have one kayfun and two orchids v2 I'm a sub ohm dripper I prefer the orchid my wife is a new modder just converted from the ego type so the draw of the kayfun suits her but she can't even hit my mutation x. Either one I would carry atty down to prevent leaking

The how long is the cotton lasting in ur kayfuns. Seems like it takes a lil time to rebuild take apart these. I switch cotton in my geny about 1 a day maybe. Getting a little tired of fiddling with this stuff.

i usually go through 30ml before rewicking. if you get a kayfun v4 getting to the coil is no problem, i dont even need to wash the tank if im not changing flavors (sometimes even if i am)

with lighter juices i could probably go past 60ml but i wick before that just out of habit

I only have to change cotton in my kayfun when I need to dry burn and clean my coil. I do that once every 5-7 days and that's using a dark colored, max vg.

on my first orchid, I vaped it for almost 2 months before changing wick or coil. just filler up and go.

In my experience, the Orchids will leak like a SOB if you place them on their sides.

Kayfuns will not.

But if you keep it near vertical, no problems.

even with the raised air channels it will leak on it's side. so I took them out and drilled out all the holes to 2.8mm and it breathes a lot better now.
