You didn't get the full kit?

I mean, yeah its a tad pricey for the full kit even from China at $35ish or whatever it was.

I really debated grabbing the Black SXK DNA60 BB, the vapesnail full kit and replacement seals and tank section and that cool triple keyed drip tip set for $150...
No I pre-ordered it before they had the full kit and I thought the stock airflow would be fine since I don't do mtl but it's way to open

Nice!

Give us some updates with some usage time on how it performs for you... builds, issues... my biggest concern is the tank section and seals longevity.

I don't use tank cracking juices and not sure if the SXK version is using the same type of material for the tank section that is resistant to crackers... I take that back, I use one juice that can crack poly... Red Pill.

Mine should be here this week too I hope. My not ordering the insets was a matter if they were pre-order and the vapesnail was not. I get sick of pre-order and the company will be selling the same shit that they're not shipping you. I should get the first damn item in stock since it's a pre-order. Dealing with that from 3avape right now.

I have a good size cart put together at FT including the VapeSnail, but I'm in Broke Season: Easter, followed by my son's bday, Mother's Day, then my daughter's bday all in a matter of 6 weeks.

At this rate I should have it by August...

Okay vapeshell inserts are a no go they cause ohms to jump around to much. Gonna have to order the inserts and wait 2 weeks lolIMG_20200505_133509.jpg

Yea I think the main tube for the vapesnail is 4mm if I remember correctly. I think the standard 510's a 5mm id. So not much drop in tightness. Im still eager to try it out though.
You're probably on to something though. Too much airflow on say 24 watts isnt going to give a good vape I'd think.

I have some good news..This guy Alex is making me some new panels (same design)..no fuss over it from him so, im glad its gone smooth so far.

On another note i cant get this kanger rba to wick for shit no matter how ive wicked it...it just wont keep up for me...The Haku rba no issues at all with wicking...The cotton is not too thick..has just a slight resistance pulling it through.

Ive tried combing the cotton to thin it out...ive tried shorter lengths..longer lengths and its just not getting the juice upto the coil being a bit higher than the wicking holes themselves.

The coil is a basic 6 wrap spaced coil on a 3mm jig (26g ss316).

Im gonna give it one more shot then im giving up on it.

Smaller coil...

I would just put in a 2mm or 2.5mm 26g 5 wrap, and pull them through the lil holes on the side of the barrel... cut just outside of the barrel...just enough cotton to fluff through the holes, but not choked in the slightest.

You can also... that is if you're truly washing your hands of the Kanger RBA... drill some holes in it... make the side holes a tad larger, or add in a few smaller holes under the larger one.. or you can add 2 more the size of the current one on each side and just pack cotton across them all...

When I had that Kanger RBA, long ago... non BB related... I ended up using a 2.5mm coil 5 wrap... had the coil set higher than the holes on the side of the barrel... vaped ok... wasn't OMG this is the best thing since the other best thing lol ;) but it worked...

Then I went back to mechs...again... and again... and again ;)

Ill try a smaller inside diameter but the first time i wicked the set up i tried running the cotton through the holes and again it didnt wick up very well...had the 3mm i.d. though...ill try with a smaller diameter.

I may have found a very likable RBA for DL vaping on the Billet Box. I've been trying my first build on the Odis Flow v2. It has a very smooth quiet air flow and was very easy to build. First build attempt and everything is working really well. Flavor is better than the Boxxer v2. I'm using a 3mm 7 wrap 28/40 dual clapton coil at 0.49 ohms.

Another discovery is some coils from the closeout section at iVape Supply. My first try of the Atom Aspire Atlantis 0.5 ohm coils in the A-Tank are also showing great promise. When I first set it up I had some flooding issues. Since clearing that out it is working great and the flavor is better than the 0.5 ohm EUC coils. The airflow is much more open also so this is a great DL coil for the BB. At $1.30 for a box of 4 this is tough to beat.

I ordered a bunch of THESE the other day on a recommendation from somebody on ECF. I wish I would have known about these then :wait:

i grabbed some of them now too. I know almost nothing about factory coils and the Billet Box. Except for a few hours when I got my first one in a trade, I've used exclusively RBAs.

At these prices though... can't hurt to have some coils on hand.

I agree. I have some of the Kanger Ni200 coils, but I haven't tried them. The regular Kanger coils are so tasteless that I haven't been very eager.

This is what I thought I was getting:
billet_box_fire_button_pcb_canada-800x800.jpg

And this is what I got
20200506_160928_cr.jpg

I can't do anything with that. Those little nub contacts are thinner than a piece of aluminum foil. By a lot. I have no way to connect that switch. A couple wires I can solder together. A waste of 25 bucks on a useless switch and straight from BBV. :( I just cannot win with this BB switch situation :headbang:

I've been looking all over for another Boxxer V2,and every time i go back to Odis's page,i see the Flow and debate on trying it,then decide the cost is too much to take a chance on without hearing from someone who has it,and i haven't really seen anyone talk about,so i am definitely curious haha,i just put an order in yesterday for a Boxxer gasket and some plastic panels,i may hit him up and see if i can add the flow to my order without paying another shipping charge.

Ahh and it's the damn vapesnail that's probably been delivered to someone else's house. Jeez. I hope that bitch can figure out where she delivered it and get it back today. If not I'll probably have to wait for whoever to hopefully put it back in their box. Then back to the po tomorrow then start over. Post Master still hasn't called me back either. Motherfucker

Thirteen hundredths of a millimeter thick. The SXK one has the wires already attached, but nobody I've had any interaction with in China answers anymore.

I'll join the gripes. :cuss2::cuss2::cuss2: magnets. This shit is maddening. I lost two from a panel and the one in the front innard today. WTF. Then, as to not screw up the orientation, I put a sharpie mark on the new one. Do you think I would put it on the side that is stuck to the mod? Noooooo, I of course put it on the other side, so now it is clearly visable through the panel :gaah::cuss2:

That problem seems to be more prevalent with acrylics for some reason. I appreciate being able to see the "inner beauty" of the Billets and all, but that's one of the reasons I can't bring myself to use anything other than the stock ones.

Yeah, I've never had any problems with the stocks. As much as it pisses me off, it won't keep me from using acrylics. I'm a guts kinda guy I guess, lol

I’d rock the stock panels with Troy’s makers mark...

That probably be the extent of me accessorizing the BB minus a keyed drip tip.

This what I am reminded of when I see heavily modified BBs

Now don’t mistake that of those that modify... I just laugh when I see someone change every part on the BB that can be swapped out.

But I do agree with you, to each their own in what they like.
