That red looks pretty cool. When they came out,i had no plans at all to get the red one, mainly because when i got my purple one,it looked good in the stock pictures, but when i got it,the color was way lighter than they showed.
Yesterday, after seeing some real world pics of the red one,i decided to grab one,so should have it in about 10 days or so(from Canada),looking forward to it.Definitely going to grab that mission switch at some point too,i don't like the panels it comes with too much because of that little rocket haha, but i've seen some sick custom panels being made to fit that switch.

I wasn't sure how the red would come out but I'm pretty partial to it now. Of course it was a lot cheaper than authentic. A lot easier to take this one outside than the other billets. Lol

OK, so I've set a new task for myself. I want to have all the Billet Box colors of the rainbow. ROYGBIV!

So far I've got Red, Orange, Blue (on the way from this weeks drop), and Indigo. Which means I still need Nugget, TMB and Unicorn Poo.

This means that the Rat, RNB and BoX that I have won't count towards the goal.

A recent acquisition that is related to the Billet Box. A Limelight Arch atty. It uses any Boro bridge internally. It is the 24mm version and can fit the Bridg'd.

Right now I'm using a Kanger OCC 0.5 ohm Ceramic coil at 48 watts. I've not had the chance to try anything else. This is mounted on a Dani Box 21700.

I will say that the Bridg'd setup in a Billet Box is tasting better than the Kanger OCC coil in the Arch.

Hell I don't blame you. Usually $100 or more mod doesn't go outside for me either. Lol

If you dress them with the proper protection and practice safe distancing they can be relatively safe. This is what I had with me for a round of golf and dinner with friends. The Kurbis was what I used and the Fawkes was my backup.

I've been thinking of getting a leather case to be able to take them outside, but haven't got to it yet.Without some type of protection,no way though haha.I'm horrible about putting my mods either between my legs or on my lap while i'm driving, then forget it's there when i get out of my truck, and they end up taking a bounce off the parking lot haha. It's for that exact reason that my main carry mod is Luxotic that i paid like $15 for haha.

Yea I want a leather case for mine. My wife knows a guy who does leather work but he's so far backed up I'd maybe never get an order placed. Everyone one gets in on the expense of the BB. Even leather craftsman. Lol. I looked at the one one your kurbis on etsy plenty of times. Lol

Treasury cases are the best! He has a shop on Etsy so you can check them out there. Others offer them too but I can't speak to the quality

The case quality does appear to be very good. It was about a one month wait for the case. I'll see how it holds up through the summer with sweaty hands and all.

I agree, although i figure if i spend $100 or more on a case for a $100 mod, then i definitely would never take it outside,i'm a cheap ass like that haha.
If Skullkandy ever restocks theirs i'll probably get one from them though, their only like $45.
There are a few others on etsy for about 50 bucks. Look up billet box and that about all that's there. Some Damascus button and tips. And those stabwood panels

It looks like I wasted my money on that Brig'd rba :(

I didn't know that it's another 9 bucks for the mtl inserts and and another 9 for the mtl chimney. I have just the base rba coming. I would have never bought it if I knew that.

Does it have an AFC? Might be able to live with it closed off if so. I can't imagine the airflow underneath the coil would be bigger than 2mm which is usually sufficient for MTL in concert with a closed down AFC

I think it is closer to 3mm if my feeble mind remembers correctly. (I did measure it, but again the feeble mind thing comes into play here.) I prefer it to be about 4mm. The SXK Bridg'd is a restricted DL for sure. Perhaps a restricted drip tip would enable one to get a decent MTL hit. There is no airflow control ring. At least not in the package that I have.

I thought it came with the 4 brass screw in deck inserts and I didn't even know there was a smaller chimney. That's pushing 40 bucks for a clone rba. The Vapesnail kit was 35, but it comes with everything, including it's own boro.

Oh well. Not the end of the world. Just disappointing.

EDIT: Actually 33:50.

Bummer, that really sucks. Thanks for posting though. I didn't know either, and wouldn't even use without the chimney or inserts. Saved me.

Well, I bit the bullet and ordered the inserts and chimney from Gascity in Canada. They have a 10% off sale and the shipping isn't THAT bad. 11 bucks. That's way less than the firing switch from the vaporist in Canada which is 16.

The authentic Brig'd comes with the inserts and chimney/chamber cap. At least that's what the reviewers have. I hope this isn't the wave of the future for SXK/Fasttech/3F. Splitting up the bits as separate purchases. I would have paid 30 for a complete setup, but the way they sell it now it's almost 40. That's pushing it for Chinese clones. The Xeta with everything is 22. The Vapesnail I can see because it has a boro and a ton of accessories.

It seems like it depends on how the OG items are sold and/or released. The Xeta was released with everything to go from tight MTL to DTL right from the get-go. VapeSnail might be the exception here, but they initially released it without the airflow pins and chimney reducer as well only to release the full kit later on after getting feedback.

Didn't the Xeta come out with the chimney reducers included and then later Haku released additional options for the deck reducers? I could be remembering that wrong.

It came out with chimney reducers and deck airflow reducers. They later released MTL deck reducer kit to further fine tune the vape.

There's a part of me that's chastising myself for whining about clones that maybe shouldn't even exist in the first place :wait:
I'm not buying an Authentic without trying it first. I can't justify $100+ not having any idea if I will use it more than once or not. Wrong or right, that's just the way it is for me. If I like it and know I will continue to use, then I have no problem laying out the cash.

But then at some point also came standard with it right? I know all of mine did.

Sorry, I was talking about Haku, not SXK. Haku never included the "MTL Explorer Kit" with the Xeta. It's always been an add-on.
Not sure about SXK, but looking at the FT listing it comes with the standard reducers that were originally included with the authentic Haku kit (DL to MTL) , not the MTL kit.

Gotcha. I didn't know there was a "mtl kit". Hmmm, I like a fairly tight mtl, and can't see needing more than the 2 hole af and middle chimney. Idk, maybe some like it more restrictive.

Its not any tighter or looser, they're sizes in between the tightest MTL and loosest MTL ones for fine tuning to "explore" MTL and find your best fit

What do you guys think before I install them. Got clear panels coming for this one. I thought they'd be shiny but they're brushed which looks good too I think. Not using this button though. Keeping the blue

I like it. I put my clear plates on the Dober, gives it that kinda effect. I'm happy with it. I'd keep the button over silver for sure, but that's just me.

What do you think of the snail vs the shell, strictly vape wise?
