I just picked up one of these and I love it. Anyone else used one yet? I have a single vertical coil right now and it works really well, I'd like to see other peoples builds for this.

I've done two builds so far, both sort of higher resistance because I'm using it on a DNA 30. First was just a single 28g micro coil at 1.1 ohms and it was decent. The second was different, I used 24g and did a macro coil at 1 ohm and it's way more dense than the 28g. I almost don't want to take this build off to experiment anymore because I like it so much.

Just did a Gplat elite 24 build, single macro coil (9/64 drill bit) that came to 0.7 ohms which is a little lower than I had wanted for my DNA 30, but I have got to say the flavor from this RDA mixed with the Gplat elite is off the fucking charts. It was great before, but with the Gplat it makes the flavor so rich and crisp that I'm going to retire my Russian 91% for the rest of my vacation lol. This thing holds enough juice that I can go for a walk down the block and not have to stop to redrip. I think this easily beats my zenith as far as flavor goes.

I have been keeping my eye on the Veritas, namely because a friend of mine keeps telling me to get it .. your feedback does have me intrigued.

I don't think you'll be disappointed! It's quickly becoming my favorite. I think the design is really innovative and unique. The build is pretty simple if you're familiar with building genesis style. I've found that larger diameter single coils have given me the best performance as far as flavor goes, at least on a regulated device. With a mech it has more ramp up time at higher ohms of course. Just have to make sure to use the right amount of wick. I may try some cotton yarn and have two tails running underneath to both sides of the well.

I haven't even tried dual coils yet, oh the possibilities :].

Yeah, my first RBA was a Genesis .. my first two in fact.

ive got the tobeco veritas from solid vape. its fucking awesome!

i first built it with dual vertical 1/16" ID 28g kanthal microcoils for 0.7Ω total. didnt like that build at all, which is weird because i normally love dual 28g micros. but i normally build them horizontally so maybe that vertical played a factor. or maybe one of my coils was a wrap more than the other, idk.

what i do know is that my current build is bananas. 8-wrap 26g kanthal single coil, i want to say that its 3mm ID but honestly i forget. its 0.8Ω and hits smashingly- better than the dual coil setup did.
i slanted the coil so its not a true vertical nor is it horizontal. its at maybe a 60 degree angle. i did it this way because my top lead was kinda long and was getting a hot leg. and with the top lead slanted over to the side, i could drape my top-half of the wick over it, keeping it cool. the end tails off along the left v-shaped wall and the juice keeps it in place. (i'll post photos later if anyone wants)

the other end of the wick dips into the juice well, extending a few mm across the floor of the deck. this puppy vapes 100% dry before needing to be re-dripped. and being that it holds about a ml of juice, i dont need to drip often. and it doesnt leak one iota. very pocket-friendly.

the flavor is off the charts, like mentioned above. it actually gave me a boost of confidence in my DIY juice- its never tasted better! i feel like a supreme mixologist, even though i am not. :D

one thing to note about the tobeco veritas is that its factory o-rings are too big. it actually made me kinda hate the atomizer at first because it was nearly impossible to get the cap off an on. but now that i put on new o-rings, its gotta be my favorite atomizer to date. gives my origen a fucking run for its money, i tell you what.

very highly recommended atomizer.

image.jpg I know it's a huge ass coil, but it's Gplat and I wanted higher ohms. The way that airflow hits bigger diameter coils makes them my favorite so far! I can't wait to try a tiger coil, twisted micro, parallel, I'm sure they're all going to rule. I've just been doing the simple stuff to keep my ohms higher, this things just looks so sexy on my vaporshark :]. I got a spare insulator with mine so I'm gonna try some super low builds on a mech and see how it handles them.

I've been doing horizontal single coil builds because it puts the wicks toward each of the wells. I can't seem to get it right though. There are usually hot leads on the positive side. Its way more difficult than a patriot or tugboat to build.

Try to make the neg and pos leads both as equal as possible in length. It's tough on the veritas with a horiz coil. Heck, it's a bit difficult with even a vertical coil. Really what's tough is micro coils. In the creators video, he's got dual vertical non micro coils. Just your straight up spaced out type of coil.

But all I wrap are micros so I made it work. And work if does. It bangs. But let me tell you, don't be overly concerned with making it horiz. Go for vertical or even kinda diagonal. So your top of the wick can wick off the wall. That's what I did and it performs slammingly.

Coils mad gunked lol but I don't care. Shit tastes great still for some reason.

I haven't had any problems with getting hot legs but I've been sticking to a single vertical micro/macro coil. I always put my leads in the same way every time though. image.jpgI always use the negative post on the right side, and have my positive lead wrapped around from the left side so that it's as short as possible. I also position my coils up a little higher than usual.

I've had mine for a while now. I build single vertical micro coil usually 1.1-1.3 ohms is where I like to vape. I tried positioning my last coil higher, so air flows under the coil some, and as centered as possible. Flavor is really good, with nice clouds. I don't find single coils to be particularly difficult. I also don't use a lot of kgd, just thread a piece through the coil and lay the top over the top leg of the coil.

Yea I've found that the less wick the better with this one. I'll run a piece down and touch the bottom of the deck and let it sit slightly to the left side. Then I'll clip the top and lay it against the positive lead to keep it cool. I like having my coil sitting a little higher too because I feel like it gives me a slightly warmer hit.

I now only buy RDA's which have a very different design than most others on the market , my top three for flavor are the Veritas , Magma and Origen and they all have a slightly different design than most RDA's with a simple three post design .

I stick to large diameter (as large as i can get without touching the sides) singles on this one , wick with Rayon and i love it . If you get the right build with this one i think it's unbeatable for flavor but many haven't found that build yet and rate the flavor as just good .

Get it right and it's amazing.

i can measure them when i get home. i dont have it with me today. i can tell you that i used the spare o-rings from my Youde AGT genny. theyre both smaller and thinner than than the tobeco veritas o-rings. perfect size. the cap fits snug, but not too snug, and the cap clicks into place when secured. its the o-rings that *should* have been included. my guess is that they are 15mm but i can measure when i get home if you wanna remind me. if youre having the same problem as me, youre gonna be very happy once you get the right o-rings. i practically jumped for joy lol.

That would be great. Thanks. I removed the bottom o-ring and that helped quite a bit. Then the top one tore so i'm on my last one.

It appears to be about a 13mm od and 12mm id. On the inches side, it's right in about a half inch.

Just received mine today from fasttech, looks to be the tobeco version.

Some manufacturing issues...
Nuts and screws are still not SS and are pretty crap for 24g or lower wires. Can easily be replaced. m2x3 or 4 and m2.5 nuts I believe.
Air hole was off centre, aside from aesthetics, non issue and can be bored out.
Top cap hole is smaller than the hole on the deck, can be bored out.
Machine oil was lodged inside the centre hole and where the chamber for the centre pin, non issue, simple green degreaser and torching it will burn it off.

Building on it,
It's a pain in the ass! If you are the type that wont stop making adjustments until it's 100%, this might not be for you. LOL. but after awhile, it gets easier. I've tried several different builds on it today; dual verticals, dual horizontals (one on top of each other), single vertical and horizontal.

Regardless, it is definitely easier to start your coil builds starting from either of the negative posts, moving towards the centre and following to the next negative if creating dual coil setups.

No pics as I was attempting to figure out which would work best for this particular rda, and unfortunately after every combination of setups I've attempted, anywhere from .4 to 1.2 ohms, the flavour just seemed to fall short.

But I must say, it is a pretty little piece, and is pretty much 'leak proof', but for me, it'll serve as a good gift to someone

I had none of those issues and think this one is unbeatable for flavor (along with Magma) , most i know are going with single coil builds on these and rave about the flavor .

I highly doubt this is Tobeco and if going with the FT version make sure you buy the right one , there are a ton of them that are not even close to the original specs.

The SKU I ordered was https://www.fasttech.com/products/1767203 . Currently there are two clone manufacturers that released the Veritas; 1 version from Ehpro, and numerous other variants from Tobeco, the one I ended up purchasing is built by Tobeco. The '1:1' (21.8mm) on FT is also a Tobeco, but the pin being made of brass.

I forgot to mention, when trying out builds, the best tasting that I've tried was a single vertical coil build with 26g at .6ohms. Personally, it takes a backseat when compare to the plume veil, especially after all of the hype and raving the veritas had when it was released.

0.7 vertical is pretty darn good on flavor for me. Tobeco version from Solid Vape. Only issue was swapping for smaller orings. One of my favorite attys.

The 1767203 is one of the versions thats very different then the 1:1 , compare the deck height to the 1:1 they offer without the drip tip . Very very different but apparently it still gets good reviews .

I went with the 1:1 and you can see how much deeper and taller that version is .

A 12mm or 13mm oring, maybe 2mm thickness. I used my youde agt orings and they fit perfectly. Scroll up, I posted measurements

Just recieved one of two Tobeco ones. Built it with a .4ohm horizontal single with Japanese Cotton. The other will most likely get a dual chimney build.

I have an authentic Veritas I have never used. I bought it from VaporDNA and never got around to building it out. I can't figure out a place to sell it =/

It looks nice but I have so many drippers that I don't want to even try it. Plus, I am not very comfortable with vertical builds. Every time I tried to build a vertical coil prior, I would end up with a black wick in a very short period of time.

I am definitely doing something wrong. I only build micro coils, I have not stepped my game up to Clapton coils and such. The last vertical coil I built was in an authentic AIOS atty tank on a Chi You, and it just did not last longer than a few days.

The Veritas is not a difficult build at all , you can even do a horizontal single coil and it will work great .

Truthfully, if you are clever, you can do vertical builds on anything that has the top cap clearance for one. I have done a horizontal build on a u-wicked AGA-T genny once (it worked, but not exceedingly well). For you genny afficianados like myself....how I did it was to scavenge a centre post from a thrashed AGA and affixed it to the negative screw hole...thus making the negative and positive attaching points of equal height.
